  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What things don't you like in the G70?

In the car's manual it says the head restraints are adjustable (forward and backward) but I have not been able to figure out how to do it. Honestly think that it is an error in the manual.

'tis

2022
- no cover/slider to hide USB cord when phone is plugged.
- no power closing trunk.
whaaat? there are no cars out there that cover the USB wire. the whole purpose of USB is to be a wire....

  • Brake pedal seems a bit too forward of the gas pedal or too far apart? I cant really tell what it is, but I have size 13 feet so its not a small foot problem. Makes flipping my foot between them a bit awkward, though this could be me
NOT just you, i absolutely love this car but I absolutely notice this too. The brake pedal is too far forward. It feels like i'm too close to the gas pedal and still far away from the steering wheel. It's weird.

He means the area the phone sits, with the wire, etc. No longer can close a cover to hide it. It is odd and looks shitty compared to the previous version. That and the half screen half analog aesthetically shit dash display are my only complaints.

‘Yeah definitely think they should have included the 3D instrument cluster at least on the LEs. Also it is available in Korea so maybe somewhere down the line we can do a retrofit for it.

My G80 has a dampened, spring loaded door that closes, covering the cigarette lighter ports and USB port. I keep my iPod in there as well as most of the 4' cord, with only a foot sticking out to plug my phone in.

Yeah, I feel they desperately wanted the left/right turn signal cameras, and all they had was this trash dash, a full digital was either too expensive or the one they have was unable to be retrofitted into this space. Same for G80. Would have been so much better to have the camera output show up in the center console screen, and keep the very nice analog gauge cluster that they were using previously. It just looks like trash, and you have to stare at it the entire time you are in the car, thinking, wtf Genesis. I decided to keep my 2019 because of that effing trash dash. There was no way I was going to stare at that thing all day, every day.

He is talking about the 2022s, they can no longer do that.

Styling was my hot point for buying my '22 G70 3.3T Sport Prestige. Have now discovered a downside.

After a rain, opening the trunk lid brings a splash onto the trunk mat. Open a door and get water on the seats.

Sleek damp car.

Drive mode defaulting to Comfort is super annoying.

I'm really surprised to hear this, as manufacturers test for this stuff. So, if you hose the car down so it's totally wet, and open the trunk lid at a moderate or slow speed, you get a significant amount of water in the trunk?

We can expect a few drops off the edge of the trunk lid to fall in as they lose their adhesion when the lid rises, but there should not be anything running in. Same with the doors.

I drive the G80 and this issue is agreed to across all the Genesis products. Sure wish someone would make an aftermarket switch or add-on to address it. I only have the 3.8 in the G80 and Sport mode is SO much more responsive.

Not a huge amount of water. Just over two tablespoons or so. Enough that I feel compelled to soak up, especially on the seat bolsters.

Turn signals are one for sure but dont bother me that much, fuel economy , exhaust note and NO AMBEINT LIGHTING AT ALL... sorry i likes my fancy colors lol
a loaded one is 50000 plus ,,,looking at the car you would not think it was that much money ,,,,looks a little cheap

I love my 2022 G70 so far, the only thing I've really noticed is the Spedo is an actual analog dial while the tach is a digital representation. I really only notice it when driving in a parking garage and I can see the tach clearly and the spedo needle is dark. The lack of wireless Apple play and crappy mpg are disappointing. Other than that, I'm in love with the car... smooth stable ride with lots of power and it's gorgeous!

Have driven my 2022 G70 for about 1500 miles and have been pleasantly surprised about how great the car drives/handles on the road. Only complaints so far would be the lack of Wireless Car play/ Apple car play not taking up the entire screen.

Also there seems to be a rattling noise coming from the center console/armrest storage area that I cant seem to figure out what it is or fix. Really annoying when commuting 30+ minutes.
