  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What things don't you like in the G70?

Wow, that's weird. I have those tires and haven't got a noise issue. I wonder what's different? I've only got 15k miles on mine. I know most tires start to get louder once the tread gets low. How many miles on yours? Tire pressure?
3500 miles - not tire pressure dependent.

Have had the 3.3T Sport RWD a bit over a month now and got a bit of a list of minor complaints. Some of these are definitely nitpicks, however:
  • Lumbar being strange (e.g. "moving" the lumber at the lowest height just causes it to retract and the mid lumbar extends out, almost as if the lower lumbar is a separate component)
  • Lumbar and bolstering not being included in seat memory
  • No remote start button on fob
  • No heated seats from app
  • No light inside glovebox
  • With there was a light on the trunk lid, rather than just the trunk "ceiling"
  • Wish the middle rear seat seatbelt was attached to the seat so it doesn't extend when folded down, but not many cars in this class do that
  • Brake pedal seems a bit too forward of the gas pedal or too far apart? I cant really tell what it is, but I have size 13 feet so its not a small foot problem. Makes flipping my foot between them a bit awkward, though this could be me.
  • Intermittent app remote start issues (Heated features don't turn on from preset, need to manually switch off and back on in app to work, or remote start without preset)
  • Having to use voice commands to fully cancel navigation, rather than the pause button
  • Steering wheel seek/track direction reversing when inside radio menu and outside radio menu
  • The mute button on steering wheel doesn't pause Carplay, but pauses bluetooth music
  • Having separate volumes for each audio source is a bit of a fuss
  • Being booted back to home screen when restarting car
  • Hitting the climate "off" button after turning off again doesn't reset to last fan speed (have to manually adjust fan again)
  • Auto AC direction not showing up in info bar, just shows "AUTO"
  • Having the kind of TPMS that makes you drive to show pressure, rather than static
  • Having incandescent bulbs for rear lights on a luxury car
  • Not being able to close trunk manually, have to hit button to close (this is kinda big for curbside pickup)
  • Not having capless fuel system (my 2019 Equinox has it)
  • No auto lock when exiting car and walking away (again, Equinox had that)
  • Some wind noise at higher speeds
  • No USB-C
  • Kinda wish lane keep button was moved onto steering wheel
  • Back seats kind of tight
  • Trunk is small for the class
  • For auto-fold reverse mirrors I need to keep at least one mirror in "edit" mode, so I could in theory acidentally move one of my mirrors by accident with it on
  • The default headlight setting is off, so in auto the knob of the stick is always rotated, but this is definitely my OCD
  • Separating "Nav" and "Map", should just be one menu
  • Not being able to customize "Home" screen (kinda find "My Menu" useless and would rather have a "Now Playing" button to go right back to the playing media)
  • Some options that are in the DIS but would be better in the center screen settings menu
  • No ambient lighting, even in the upcoming refresh

Now I know this seems like quite a long list of nitpicks, and it is, but that doesn't mean I don't love this car. It drives really well, and most of this is just because I'm still adjusting to it. Would love to know what everyone else thinks!

Ummmm, maybe yours is broken? Mine definitely saves the bolstering and lumbar. It also saves your sideview mirror settings, seat position and height, and steering wheel position

...and HUD settings...and Custom Drive Mode settings.
Yeah, min does save all the rest no issue, but it seems to be just lumbar and bolstering that aren't saved. I do have the Sport Bolstering feature on, so not sure if it's linked to that, but I will test later. Before, I set Memory 1 to no lumbar and no bolster, while Memory 2 was set at max bolster and max middle lumbar, along with other minor settings. With that test, everything did switch fine except the lumbar and bolster, but I will try again! Thanks!

And thanks EdP for the help! That seems to work, and I did find a shortcut in "My Menu" for cancelling the route so that works as well!

Mine doesn’t save lumbar, steering wheel or bolster. That’s probably because I have the 2.0t and no adjustable bolsters (no hug in Sport mode😭)

1. Customize the "Home" screen - you can program what you want the "STAR" button to do. Try programming that to something useful, might help
2. Booted back to the home screen when restarting the car - Weird, I don't have this issue. Mine stays on Map
3. Auto-fold mirrors - Your mirror settings are saved with your seat. If you accidentally move the mirrors, you could always just hit your seat setting
4. Auto-trunk close issue for curbside pickup - Is this an issue because the staff members try to close your trunk? Otherwise, you can close it from inside the car by holding the trunk button

They don’t make them for the newest models, however, I bought a pair of front mud guards for a 2014 G70 and they fit and look like the rear ones.
what is a 2014 g70? Methinks you might be confused....

Same ones front and rear? How’s the fit under fender and bumper?
Not same for front and rear, rear ones are those currently sold by Genesis. The front ones are for a 2014 Genesis Coupe, #1RF46-AC500, front mud guards. The front ones fit snuggly like rear ones, had to make the wholes to attach.

No ambient lighting and its cramp cramp in the back seat department. Also no remote starter on the key fob as they should've provided both remote starter app n key fob.

right, it's like, wait, how does BMW give you a M340i with all of that for 52k, but Genesis cannot?
I don't think you can get an M340i for 52K...if I recall correctly, MSRP for an M340i starts at around $55K, and that is for a barebones car with no options, so no adaptive suspension, no upgraded brakes, no leather, etc.
