  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When will the 2015 Hyundai Genesis be at dealerships?

The not-so-fine print says:

Not many people will satisfy ALL of those criteria.

It also says Doug's discount of $1000, still $1000 under MSRP. I believe the value owner coupon is available to current Hyundai owners? That would make it $2000 under MSRP.

Who will be the first forum member to buy the first 2015 Genesis? So much talk and hype but no buyers yet?!?! Post pics.

Finally have two 3.8 Genesis with Signature and Tech Package here at my local dealership. They aren't charging anything more than the MSRP ($46K) but the incentives like College Grad and Value Owner would make it go down.
Sadly I want the 5.0 and have Ultimate Package too. I'll wait until Hyundai Circle discounting is available.

I am going to test drive it tomorrow though finally and see how I like it. I can't wait to compare it with my current 3.8 Genesis.

Greater Tampa Bay area in Florida

Your dealer (Brandon Hyundai/Mitsubishi) in the Tampa area is smoking something really good that's for sure, they are asking $44,205 for a base model that has a Monroney MSRP as equipped of $39,205......very poor business practice.

And it's got 401 miles on it !

And it's got 401 miles on it !

MY wife and I put a few of those miles on that car during our test drives.

They had a dealer add-on sticker listing a "Value Package" for $4999 which included pin striping, nitrogen, paint protectant, and a bunch of other useless junk.

In addition their high pressure sales technique with absolutely zero product knowledge was a HUGE turn-off. I don't know what they are thinking. Especially since they are stuck with a BROWN car.

Ah yes, paint protectorant. I remember buying a Toyota 25 years ago and every single Toyota on their lot had paint protectorant package on the sticker (importer was Gulf States Toyota) for several hundred dollars. When I drove the car home I noticed that there was a bottle of some liquid paint sealant (basically a liquid synthetic car wax) in the glove compartment.

Just checked my local dealers inventory.

2 AWD models. One seems to be priced as an ultimate.
1 V6 base model
1 black V8 ulitmate.

All prices are right around MSRP. But that's what's posted on the internet. I'm sure negoiating can be done at the dealer.

However, with the price of a V8 ultimate, I'm going to be passing for now. Kind of strange that a SoCal dealer would have 2 AWD models.

Saw a RWD V6 Caspian black with gray interior at Pearson Hyundai in Richmond, VA. The metallic black paint is VERY glittery. It had everything but the Ultimate package. Sad to see the shiny plastic dash trim on such an expensive car. They added about $2,000 to the MSRP.

it's been about 2 weeks and still no buyers on this forum, or at least they're not saying (don't want to be called suckers for paying MSRP or higher?) i guess the new Genesis must be selling like hotcakes if dealers are still charging markups. last i remembered 100% of a $100 profit is far better than 0% of a $10,000 profit and i don't think the dealerships are losing money on this car.

I do quite a bit of research and love looking for inventory for the car that matches what I am looking for. The last few days there has been quite an increase in the local inventory.

https://www.hyundaiusa.com/inventory-search/

Using the above link I checked inventory in my area on Friday and there were 6 cars available in South Florida. There are now 15 available.

I am not sure how accurate or up to date the tracking is but on Friday it showed one base Empire Grey genesis at my local dealer and I dropped by on Saturday morning and that is exactly what they had. Typically these sites might update a day or two early before the car even arrives at the dealer and then it takes a day or two after the sale for it to be removed.

Just to give you a reference point. There currently 15 2015 Genesis in my local area and there are 60 2014 Genesis that show up on the inventory tracker.

Also, the 15 breakdown as follows:

9 3.8 Standard
4 3.8 Signature & Tech
2 5.0 Ultimate

Yeah folks looking for the 3.8 ultimate are having to wait a little longer for inventory. They also seem to be low on black cars so the specific combo I'm looking for isn't too prevalent at the moment.

Only 1 of the 15 above are black. I have only ever owned Black on Black cars. I am quite some time away from buying as I would like to get a reasonable discount from MSRP and am not in a rush at all since I own my current car free and clear.

Yeah, the V6s I've seen are either gray or white. no black as of yet. All blacks so far have been 5.0s.
