  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Who racked up the MOST mileage?

Wow- 130+K's out there. I'm sitting shy of 90K.

I want to see some 150k+ miles :-D. Ideally more like 200k+ miles! Still 130+k miles is a great start.

Nice find but I'm surprised they didn't wipe off the engine interior.

I say 220 or bust! :-)

per owner's manual- Oil/filter changes, transmission serviced at 80k then every 50k, filters changed per manual, Rear diff. oil changed every 100k miles. 98k now on my 2011 4.6 w/tech.

What did you have done to the transmission? There isn't a maintenance check for that in the owners manual.... Just a fluids flushout?

I had the transmission fluid and filter changed at 80k. I plan on keeping cars to about 250,000 miles.

homeofstone: Me to and I've always read that (satin) white cars simply have less issues and run longer then other colors... :-)

Please keep us posted as you rack up the miles.

I picked 2011 partly on price and partly as it was last year it wasn't using GDI and a new 8-speed gearbox. I picked the V8 hoping a less taxed engine would last longer (and the engine seem sweet). I hoped this would help increase the longevity of the car.

Since you high mileage guys seem to be getting good reliability over time, at the rate I'm putting on the miles the car should last me 20 years. Since I quit commuting I'm only taking the car out a couple of times a week - averaging about 150 miles a month these days. I've had the car since new, about 3 1/2 years, and have not hit 30K yet.

I also plan on having this car for a long time... I think at the first sign of a large cost replacement part is when I'll purchase a new car.

So far she's been rock solid. I need to get her in for some maintenance though.

So what's wrong with keeping a good car for 20 years? Nothing IMO, I have 180,000 miles on my 1996 suburban and have had it since 1998 and will have it until about 2016 when I plan on purchasing another Suburban.

I'll have 25000 miles on my 2012 3.8 by Wednesday of this week. Got the car in the middle of December 2012. No engine or transmission problems. Very comfortable commuter car for my 6'3" frame.

2011 4.6 with tech. passed 100,000 miles August 26, 2013.
