Those HRE's are also monoblock, so the rim and the spokes are all one piece, which is much harder to forge, so that raises the price, too.

My factory 19” rims are forged and subjectively this rim and the tire is much lighter than my winter 18” Enkei wheel with tire. Both rims and tires are the same width.

For those with the G70 already, can you please check in the manual and see if there are any wheel specs. listed.

As for those HRE wheels, they look great, but I have always felt that if I hit a curb or pot hole and wrecked a wheel, I should be able to buy a new one same day and the cost shouldn't really bother me other than just being pissed it happened. Wheel up to $500 or so, no big deal, but about $3K Canadian? Hell no!

I was poking around on the Genesis website and it looks like the 10 spoke wheels from the Prestige are the same dimensions as the 5 spoke wheels on the Sport.

^ yeah that makes sense since the car show demo model and online build site had the 10-spokers until late in the game. I recall looking at the car show and it was staggered on the Sport as you found above with the 10-spoke rims.

This is the Genesis Winter Tire Package Wheel from the Canadian Genesis site:

This is the closest looking wheel that I could find, in high enough resolution, to the Genesis Winter Wheel package wheel. Spokes look a bit skinnier than the OEM Wheel. So the OEM 18" winter wheel just might do nicely with winter tires.

Here is a better quality picture of the 18" winter wheel that was supplied to me, with THANKS, by Darryle at Genesis Edmonton. If I can change the perspective in Photoshop without distorting the wheel I will put it on the G70 picture above. Its a nice looking wheel!

Available 18" Winter Wheel from Genesis: Its a bit rough around the edges but it gives you a good idea of how the wheels will look. I like the look better than the black ones

Now the question is if we buy those wheels and the Michelin X-Ice tires from Genesis, would the price include mounting, balancing, and TPMS sensors? Because if they do, then they would be very competitive with 3rd party suppliers. A set of 18x8 et38 Klasse wheels with 225/18 Nokian Hakkapelitas (sp?), with mounting balancing, and sensors is around $2350 at Kal-Tire.

Do you think that these rims will wear well in winter? They are not rated 'winter'. I don't know if that matters. Also since staggered tires you can't rotate the tires. Does it matter? IMO these are beautiful rims, better that the other Genesis winter rim options.

Do you mean the single spoke or double spoke ones? I never which perspective when people say left or right. Thx
