  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Who racked up the MOST mileage?

The dealer has provided the before/after printouts of the alignment results and they're getting it right on the money. So I'm starting to lean more in the direction of the tires being the culprit. I had a 2003 Mustang GT convertible and it came with the godawful Goodyear Gatorback directional tires. No cross axle rotation, no traction, lots of tire noise, and deadly in the rain. I replaced them with ???? brand tire with an asymmetrical tread design. BIG mistake! The car wouldn't track in a straight line, even if you threatened to send it to the scrapper. Put Michelin directionals back on, problem solved. I appreciate the input, guys. You're pushing me in the most likely direction of the problem. This is just too nice of an automobile to not want to get it right.

Side note: all I've done to the car is really get the black paint shining and rebadge the trunk. Some guy did a triple take and asked what kind of car I had. I said "Aston Martin" and he said he'd never sen one up close! It's a stunner.

i have 76,000 on my 2010 4.6 after 2 years 5 months.

Outpaced me- 74.600 on the ticker. Clocking more miles on rentals this past year travelling.

Have had my 2012 3.8 for 15 days and have 1400 miles on it.

2011 4.6 tech pkg.. 78k+ in 27 months

I guess I'm not in the running here. 35 months, 25,000 miles. ~714 miles per month.

If this thread is about driving the MOST miles, why are there all the posts about folks with 18,000 miles on an '09?

You hold the trophy! Fastest to 80K region.
Any mechanical repairs?

2009 3.8 - 103K miles owned since April 2009

So I want to run to at least 150k miles, preferably 200+ (85% highway against traffic during Boston rush hour). You "high milers" out there, any special advice on how to keep the car running well/long?

With 100K miles on an 08 Accent all my in-law has done is maintain the car as directed by the owners manual. I mean EVERYTHING! A little over board IMO, but that's just her and the car looks brand new...

That's good to hear. I think my main hesitation with buying the g instead of l-es was how well the car would do once old and higher mileage. That said the g is just so much more car then the es and about the same price. After driving them both at the same time I was willing to take a chance.

Update 2009 V-6 took delivery 11/09 134,000 trouble free miles

Right on Tom. I like to hear that you have had trouble free mileage and that most of the complaints on this site are from a relative few. I think this is a great car with little to no problems.

per owner's manual- Oil/filter changes, transmission serviced at 80k then every 50k, filters changed per manual, Rear diff. oil changed every 100k miles. 98k now on my 2011 4.6 w/tech.
