If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

You're forgetting the 5.0 will have a continuously damping adjustable suspension that will undoubtedly make up for the slight increase in weight. Personally, I think that if you are thinking about getting a car like the Genesis, why not go all out? Then again things like gas mileage isn't very high up on my needs list.
Looking at the features list for the 2015 Genesis and it has the CDC/suspension as an option for the 5.0, and not available for the V6. Even though it is an option for the 5.0, I assume it will come on most 5.0's.

I agree about getting the 5.0L. From my experience there is a lot of difference between the base V6 and the 5.0L V8. I just like that sling-shot acceleration from 40mph to 70mph that the V8 delivers. The V6 is a very fine engine, but it just doesnt have the power of a V8. Before I test drove the Genesis I collected all the hp/torque and 0-60mph information for the V6 & V8. From the information I assumed the V6 would be fine (based on 0-60mph info.).

Next I test drove the V6 first, and it just did not have the juice I was used to, nor did it feel like it was performing according to the 0-60mph information I found/researched. So, then I drove the Rspec 5.0L. The 5.0 was totally different for a number of reasons, and it felt great pawing up to hiway speed. The 8 speed in the Rspec was very smooth but also more aggressive than the V6's shift pattern.

Bottomline for me was: get the 5.0, and forget the V6 (even though the V6 is a fine DOHC engine). The sales person wanted me to come back and drive the Rspec again so he could feel how it performed since he wasn't allowed to give it a run. OK, just rambling here a bit, so let's get the 2015 5.0 out so I can enjoy driving again in the new re-designed seat. Regards.

to the posters above, puddles lamps do come with 2012's and up (mine is tech/premium) and V6 is plenty powerful as long as you manually keep it in the lower gears. My experience shows that it is as quick as a bmw 335 on the highway when shifting your own (all this means is being in the right gear when the fun begins, car will shift up on its own).

I am still going for the V8 in hopes of removing the part where I have to manually down shift since the car takes a good 1-2 seconds to do it.

If you are talking about the 2015, even though it is basically the same transmission as 2012-2014, I have heard that shifting performance has been improved.

I forgot to mention that I also sat in a CLA250. For those considering buying one, all I can say is yuck. The interior is every bit as cheap as it looks in pictures. The hvac vents looks like they were pulled from a 1990s Pontiac and the NAV screen looks like it was purchased at Best Buy and stuck on the dash. The backseat was uninhabitable. Still I'm sure it will sell well to all the people who want the three-pointed star on the front grille.

I am hoping adding a V8 to the mix will give me enough torque not to have to shift my own, improvement in software would obviously help too.

That or get the electric RLX which has plenty of torque at 0 rpm...butt dyno will tell when both cars are out.

Looks pretty sharp in white in that twitter pic

Looks better, but I'm still not thrilled the way I was when I saw the 1st gen.

The white looks really great, a lot better then how the first generation in white looks.

Whits looks good, but I think I want the blue color thats at the auto shows. Very classy.

Thanks for reply. Dropping from 333HP to 311HP has to affect straight line performance numbers. In my experience, it is more the off the line torque and grunt of the V8 that I "think" I may miss. Also when merging and need to punch it entering highway traffic I think the difference with V8 may be noted. Looking forward to some test data on the 311HP AWD model and of course, a test ride when available.

Maybe not - since Hyundai reworked the 3.8 and decreased HP a bit in favor of increased torque.

Also, HTRAC, despite the added weight, will probably help in acceleration due to better grip.

I think it had more to do with the MPG debacle. Somebody had to take the fall for what has cost Hyundai millions of dollars.

Don't think Krafcik had much to do w/ that as those EPA figures were set in Korea.

Krafcik was a good CEO for Hyundai USA so sorry to see him go.

The higher-ups at Hyundai better learn to keep their talented execs instead of pushing them out whenever there is a bump in the road (which are inevitable in the auto industry), but in the case of Krafcik leaving, supposedly, it had more to do w/ Hyundai wanting to keep their VP of sales, who would have only stayed if he had gotten the top job since he was getting a lot of interest elsewhere.

Otoh, the VP of sales of Kia USA getting the boot was short-sighted since the slight drop in Kia sales for 2013 had more to do w/ product availability/scheduling - such as the launch of the new Forte (still not enough supply) and the premature canceling of the Sedona.

Finally.. I've been waiting and waiting to see a white 2015 Genesis. I like it.

I like a white one, too. There are lots of pictures of KDM so far.

Last week I was told that 2015 Genesis will be at DFW auto show this week so I'll see the car in person!! Yay!

This is a great link to the Genesis in action here in Newport Beach, Ca. This video was done in Newport Coast

Dim Angel Eyes. Those headlight washer cutouts (?) really look bad. What is the other round pop out plug for on the front end?

My guess is for the tow bolt. The washer cutouts look fine in person. Hey, maybe this isn't the car for you. Im in love though. Hoping to be the very first U.S. customer for this car.

Does the car in this video have headlight washers? The photos above don't seem to have those bumps below the headlights.

It seems like they might be Canada specific?

Edit: Okay, I think I see what people are talking about now. There is a single round "cut out" that I believe is for the towing bolt. There are also raised rectangular covers that I believe are the parking proximity sensors.
