  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

Interesting about fog light on 3.8. On this thread, a poster who was at one of the shows stated that the 3.8 had LED fog lights and LED rear lights but no illuminated sills. Just looked at the post and the car was seen at the Toronto show. Perhaps LED fogs on 3.8 just available in Canada just as 5.0 AWD only available in Canada.

Just saw the car at Chicago auto show. It's a fine looking machine. Very impressive in person. Should say pictures don't do justice. The elongated hood and roof-line is very attractive. The interior is surprisingly nice. Looking at the pictures I thought it looks dated but it actually is tasteful. Very generous use of premium materials and the wood dash looks beautiful. The seats are very nice. The quad exhausts on 5.0 looks beautiful.

Few gripes though:

On 3.8 there is no fog light! Hope it is an option, otherwise it is plain silly.

The greenhouse looks a bit out of place, will take time to get used to it.

The grill is actually nice just the way it is and I am bummed that the front licence plate will make it look bad.

Hyundai has a long way to go from presentation stand point on the floor at the car show. Could've turned on the car and let people experience the Lexicon stereo which is one of the best feature in current generation. I asked couple of product managers to demonstrate the auto trunk opening feature and the standard reply was they can't as the car is not powered on. One manager went out of the way to get the car keys but apparently he wasn't able to demonstrate it. Don't shy away from showing off the best features! Come on Hyundai, step up the game.

Overall, nicely done car. Hope the road dynamics are as good as it looks.

Wow they didn't have the cars on for people to test out things? We got to get inside and test out the lexicon and the touchscreen and all that good stuff at Detroit auto show. I would've been mad if they didn't have the car on as that was the main reason I went to the car show.

LED fog lights on Detroit 3.8?

No there wasn't LED fog lights on the 3.8 model at Detroit.

It's not about how fast I need to go; it's about how fast I want to go. No V6 can match the passing power of a V8. Also don't forget the adjustable suspension that the 3.8 won't get.

Normally aspirated, I agree with you. Otherwise there are some twin-turbos out there that haul ass.

I guess Hyundai USA thinks that if you drive a V6, you will not need LED fog lights but puddle lights that show "genesis" on ground are very important. Really question the way they have packaged the two cars. Hopefully some changes will be made before the actual delivery date to the States.

Or you could just give it to me :)
I would gladly sell it. It's such as nice car and its sad I have to give up a nice new car I planned to keep for 5-7 years. But I need the new seat, period. I told my dealer my car was better shape than his on the lot since mine is garage kept. Regardless they will try to beat me down on trade in. So either sell person to person or to carmax? Regards.

have a custom seat bolted on and be done with it. You can take it with you when you change cars, will never have to think about the seats again.

With the amount of money you will lose buying a new car, a custom seat makes sense.

I was at Chicago on opening day. Something must have happened between then and now as the Lexicon radio was on when I was there. Thankfully I live in a state that doesnt require a front plate. :D

Finally I saw 2015 Genesis in person today. It looks really awesome. I was not allowed to sit inside though.

I figured out how to use photo bucket. Here are some pics from the Toronto Auto show. I only got 1 pic of the V8, sorry it was behind a barrier and had closed doors.

For some reason to me I think the 5.0 wheels and the v6 wheels need to be switched. The v6 wheel design looks like it belongs more on the v8. I like the v6 ones better too.

Those rims are 18 inch in 2015 Genesis 3.8. I've never seen 19 inch in 5.0 but obviously 19 looks better. A hyundai representative told me nothing decided for 5.0 AWD. He said, "it could be a year later after this spring?".

3.8 seems to have LED fog lights. 2015 Genesis doesn't look like any other german competitors to me.

Yeah in those pictures now it seems the 3.8 has the LED Fog Lights. It seems they finally made some changes since the Detroit Auto Show.

dreamofgenesis-Did not appear to have illuminated sills. Can you confirm? Certainly a minor concern but I quite like them. Thanks for sharing the pics.

For some reason, original specs state that illuminated sill plates on available on 5.0. Then again, same was said for LED fogs. I think we still may have some surprises before the cars actually arrive.
