  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Engine Choice: did you (or will you) buy a V6 or V8 2015 Genesis This Year?

I just mentioned in another post that I notice a heck of a lot of 5.0 2015 Genesis owners. I never considered the V8 for myself because the V6 is "enough" engine for me, and I wanted the better fuel economy. I could have broken this poll down to include AWD vs RWD as well, but really, I'm just curious about how many of us got the V6 vs the V8?

Feel free to cast your vote even if you haven't made your purchase yet, as long as you know what you are going to purchase, and plan to do so before the end of the year.

Maybe you can break up the 3.8s into RWD and AWD?

Agreed... I have the 3.8 AWD because I wanted the AWD. If I wanted RWD, I would have gone with the 5.0.

Went with the 5.0. With the crappy weather we get in Canada and luxury cars selling a majority of their cars in AWD, Hyundai made a smart choice with it as a standard feature.

Jon-Jon: How about a couple pics of that purrty white Genny? ;-)

I asked for it..... MAN did you deliver! That is pure EYE CANDY!!!!! Stunning!!!!

Got the 6 with awd plenty of power Caspian black with ultimate package

brought 3.8 awd..since i replaced an SUV awd was a must have

Was fairly excited to see the results of the poll thus far this morning, and a bit surprised to see the V6 barely nosing out the V8 (13/9 as of right now). As I mentioned in my first post, it seems like every time I look at someone's car around here, they have a 5.0. I'm sorry if I'm being unaccommodating for those of you who wanted a more granular poll to break down the information into RWD and AWD data, but my sole interest was engine size. I wanted to see at a single glance X number of 3.8 and 5.0. Also, I appreciate all of you who have bothered to participate.

I think Hyundai will be short on V8's. Like Hyundai, I thought the V6 would outsell the V8 10-1 but so far that is far from true. As mentioned there will also be those in the US that would have purchased the 8 but since AWD was more important they went with the 6 which would have been my case also however I lucked out.

3.8 AWD. 3.8 was the only option within my budget, and when I bought, there were no RWD in all of New England.

3.8 RWD which will hopefully be delivered before end of October.

Bought the 5.0 RWD with ultimate package in Empire State Gray. I had a 2011 with the 4.6 V8 and I never really considered the V6.
