  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Do you prefer the 2015+ Genesis over the previous generation?

I meant the GT500...

You already looked up the other two for me, so I figured you already had the magazine out!

1 second on a strip is BUS lengths. ;)

again with the ambiguity.

what R&T says about the GT500 is irrelevant in this case as the car is not stock. You are correct, one second on a dragstrip is an eternity. The GT500 isn't quite as at home there as she is in the mile.

This is easily the most entertaining thread on the boards to date!

Haha, LandoAWD are doing our best to keep you guys entertained. Its all fun.

I am getting CPE right now and looking forward to driving the Genesis to Vegas for SEMA on Friday. I've got tons of time.

If you find anything ambiguous, just show me where I lost you and I'll swing back around. ;) That response was directly following the GT500 with no signal:noise to deal with. I thought it clear.

Inline responses to discussions are more "Day 2", so we'll hit those tomorrow!

:p

(I'm writing policy, so this is just more amusing!)

I wasn't lost. You were unclear. The response may have followed a GT500 post but also mentioned in that post was the performance of the 5.0 Genesis. Given R&T's history with cars compared to C&D it would be quite easy to deduce that you were wanting to compare the article on the Genesis R-spec from R&T to what I initially posted from C&D. R&T often has more favorable performance numbers for cars.

You'll cover some things with me on day 2???? hilarious.

Maybe we can split the day and after lunch I can instruct you on the differences between the Fusion and Genesis.

We can also take the cars to a strip to settle this business on which car is faster.

All these inferences and won't see similarities in a grille or feature sets. Yeesh. Sorry for ruining your afternoon slideshow :)

Enjoy your headlight squirters!

I'll be at Fayetteville Motorsports Park for most of November 7th. Of course the "race me" battle cry, given long distances, is just a flaunt for most. :)

...and we've all learned something.

I learned there's a 3.8 model (shocked!)

There's an AWD V6 model too, in case you didn't notice, and I'm perfectly happy with my V6 as I wanted AWD. Not everyone feels the need for speed. Just like not everyone likes the look of the G1 and not everyone like the look of the G2.

This is much more entertaining than what's new in partnership and S-Corp Tax law.... so don't feel bad.

FWIW, I don't have fancy headlight washers. I have a US version 5.0.

Of all the cars to compare the G2 to, the Fusion is not one I see many similarities. Are there some? Sure, but that would be true with any car. It far more resembles the Audi as I posted previously.

Feelings hurt on the internet????

I don't think so. Its a car. I am enjoying the entertainment. As I said, its way better than whats going on here.

I've I'd have hit the Lux range, you'd have not taken the bait at all. Naturally, the go to is something Enterprise has in fleet (like V6 Gens). That said, it IS a similar grille, and yes...shares features with many cars.

I feel like feelings have shown up. :/

Nah, I just find it funny that a G1 guy feels the need to troll the G2 Forum to express his dislike of the new car and tout the supposed superiority of his outdated model. If you are just trying to get a rise out of people, it's just sad.

You won't ever find me in the G1 forum as I really don't care about older models - not relevant to the car I bought or the next car I'll buy. So whose showing feelings are hurt here? Lol...

I still checkout the G1 forums and commented on the thread there, but I actually owned a G1 as well so I feel like I am well versed in both. The interior of the G1 was a let down coming from my Lexus IS-F but that was remedied by the G2!

I have the headlight washers as they came with the AWD. The AWD is handy for driving in the snow and the headlight washers are handy when driving on salty, snowy roads at night. Not a big deal though, but a nice touch...

What really sold me on the G2 was how much better Hyundai executed the car. I looked at the Lexus GS and Audi A6 as well but I kept coming back to the Genesis and decided to take another chance on Hyundai. I am very glad as I think I will enjoy this car for years to come.

I am sure it is nice, the AWD is great for sure. If they had offered an AWD 5.0 I would have been all over it. It snows here a few times a year and I usually just drive the 91 LS400 or work from home. Geography is the main driver of that obviously.
