Thanks guys! I've been on a mission to find lowering springs ever since I got the car in March. The lack of aftermarket support was starting to get frustrating. I'm not a fan of getting aftermarket wheels without losing the wheel gap so I was almost starting to regret my decision to buy this car. I'm so glad I stayed patient lol.
Ride quality is a liiiittle bit stiffer. However, I can't tell if that's because of the smaller sidewall of a 35 series tire vs the stock 45 or if it's because the car is lowered on springs with a more aggressive spring rate. I'm sure it's a combination of both. The wife still feels that it's a very plush ride and that the change in ride quality was not significant. It has the wife's approval!
You have to purchase the springs and then get them installed at a reputable shop. I happen to live somewhat near ARK Performance so they approached me to be a tester for their springs, so I got lucky. However, there's a user here named Huddleston who got Storm Springs installed on his car. If you haven't seen his car yet, I suggest you look him up as he has got one beautiful car. I believe the springs he got lowered it the same amount. Here's a link to his thread: http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=17000&highlight=huddleston
I decided to not get a staggered setup because I like to rotate my tires and get the most life out of them. But if buying tires more frequently doesn't really phase you, I'd suggest a staggered setup because they make rear wheel drive cars look super aggressive.
Appreciate the response. See the wheels are TSW, never heard of them, how do they compare to something like Vossen or Niche? They look great! Also which tires did you end up going with? In regards to the springs, are there certain springs I should go for or can I walk into a reputable shop and ask them to lower it 1.2". Sorry for all the questions, you literally have the same setup I am gearing up to purchase. Thank you!
