  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2016 Genesis News?

One of the local dealers called me this evening just to give me a status update. Nothing really new, but he was very upfront. He told me the Northeast is the only area getting them, and they are all 3.8 AWD. He said he knows the rest are all in port, and many of the dealerships down here are both confused and annoyed that it is taking so long to release the rest of them. He has 4 customers who have put down deposits on the 2016s, and there's nothing he can do for them. He volunteered all of this info, I didn't have to prod him.

So it doesn't sound like too many 2015s at the dealers is the issue. I'm wondering why only AWDs are being released.

...because it's the most popular model and they likely started production with it.

As I noted in the my post above, two dealers near me (in the Sun Belt) have 23 and 45 2015 models still in stock trying to be sold.

I would assume that dealers in the northeast where it snows have a lot fewer 2015's in stock, especially the AWD models.

But since the RWD models are at the port of entry, they are coming. If you can't wait, then maybe you picked wrong week to stop smoking crack-cocaine.

Every time I express a thought contrary to your own, you say I'm a crackhead. Funny stuff.

Best to sometimes just ignore certain folks on here (as in real life too)...

I am not going to touch that one with a 10-foot pole, but I wonder if that scene still exists in the versions of Airplane hey show when it runs on TV these days.

I hope so - but probably not as the world is WAY too sensitive and politically correct these days... Everybody seems to be offended about everything. It's a damn shame!

With that said, here's the whole sequence. If anybody is offended - too bad: don't watch it!

Interesting - the Elantra gets Android Auto - not good when your lower end has better tech than your luxury models? I'm sure this will be fixed with the G80 model, but starting to question if it will ever come for the 2015/2016 Genesis?

im starting to think that too. makes sense they will just debut it for the 2017. maybe it will be made available for the 2015-2016 at that point. maybe not.

But not CarPlay? They're regressing.
Keep in mind that manufacturers are more careful introducing "New technology/software" for their higher end models due to the clients. The more costly cars tend to have more customers who can go after the manufacturer for defects/headaches due to their typical higher income and possibly even being an attorney. Therefore my opinion is they are more cautious with their higher priced models due to this. Personally I'd rather wait to know that it works and I'm in a techology field to see first hand where being first is often times combined with "beta tester".
