Any lowering springs for 2015 Genesis sedan?

Looks killer man!!!! I am happy its what you wanted.

Man your car looks good. love the color and those wheels.

I keep telling people that the ride is not much different than stock - still very smooth even on the storm springs. If you the ride difference is deterring people it shouldn't. It is minimal and well worth the difference in looks.

looks amazing!! even though i really liked the drop on the other springs (which if you end up selling let me know!!)

if Hyundai wants to compete with the look for audis and bimmers i really think they need to drop the height from factory

+1. Or at least make it less than 4 inches. It is possible to make these cars look sportier but the plush ride may suffer slightly. If it was even an option with N performance springs I would certainly check that box.

Is there a difference in the springs between the RWD and AWD?

ARK contacted me to let me know they had an opening a day early for install. As promised here are pics of the car on the new set of springs. As mentioned earlier, these are gold and are confirmed to be slotting in with their GT-S line. Their GT-S line is a lot more aggressive than their orange GT-F line, which I suspect I had on before these although it was never confirmed.

The springs I had on before measured 27.5" from the ground, through the wheel centercap, to the apex of the wheelwell arch. These new springs measure 26.75" using the same reference points. Unfortunately, I did not measure what the stock height was so I do not know how much lower the car actually is.

According to the guys at ARK, the first springs only lowered the car 0.75" while these lowered it 1.3"-1.5". Again, I could not verify this because I did not take before measurements when it was stock. Maybe somebody who is stock can measure using my same reference points and let us know how much of a drop it really is.

Overall, I am extremely happy this time around with the drop, as the wheels are visually flush with the fender. There was no rubbing whatsoever from any corners, even at full lock. The ride is surprisingly even more comfortable than it was with the other springs. These are not stiff in the least bit and I am definitely not riding on the bump-stops.

NOW THIS IS EXACTLY THE LOOK I AM GOING FOR!!! Your car looks great just like this.
Is there any information on when these springs will be available to the public? Im actually a lil jealous just looking at these pics!

look in the modified genesis thread in the 2015+ subforum for more pictures of lowered DH sedans

Maybe on some models, but have you seen the new 7 series? It definitely doesn't look hunkered down.

I've been in communication with ARK and they are still a few weeks out from receiving production springs back.

Sounds good to me.

That looks awesome - aside from the other springs you tested, how does the ride compare to stock? I'm coming off a lowered Gen Coupe that had almost no wheel well gap but rode at 9/12 on the coils' stiffness to maintain it without rubbing, and I'm not looking to go back in that direction.

It's been so long since I've been stock I'm afraid I'm no longer a good source of an opinion. With that said, my current springs, although lower, are much less stiff than the first set I tested. I find that ironic, considering they are noticeably lower than the first set.

I feel like these current springs are still very comfortable and do not detract from the luxury feel of the stock ride. If you're anywhere near Southern California I'm more than happy to let you come out and test drive it. That offer is open to anybody nearby who wants to test it and see for yourself before committing.

You know Reggie, I was looking at the comparison between the GT-F on my car and the GT-S on your car, and the GT-F gives about the same drop on the V8 as the GT-S gives on the V6:

That's very, very close. I agree with you that the springs are a tad stiff. Not as bad as the stock 2010 V8 was, but not as compliant as the stock 2015s either. The guy who installed them measured a drop of about 3/4" in the front immediately after the install, and they look like they've settled a tiny bit bit more. The wheel gap isn't consistent all the way around the wheel as I prefer, but at least (so far) there's no rubbing, but I don't have the new wheels/tires on either, which will be the litmus test. We'll see next week whether these puppies stay on or not. I sure do like the drop in the back though, as it's almost 1 3/4 inch. And it does seem to tighten up the handling a bit.

Yeah my front gap with those springs was much larger than your current gap. I don't know why they aren't bringing those springs to market as they seem to be designed for the weight of the V8. If anything they should keep the same height but improve the spring rates as they felt a tad on the stiff side. your car looks so much better with those springs than mine did. As you said, they dropped the rear a lot but the front, not so much since I have the lighter V8. I couldn't stand the uneven gaps. My OCD couldn't take it lol.

On your car though they look great! They should really market these springs to the V8 guys. What a difference.

Thanks for the offer, I'm a little far away though (Austin). I'll definitely keep this in mind though.

I am looking to update a rotors and lowering springs. What do you recommend?

Just wanted to make sure I will still have a smooth ride. Is this true?

Where to I go online to purchase springs? What is the part number I need to get?

Do you install them or did you get a company to do it? If so who?

lbpuppy, for springs, currently your only option for the V8 are the Storm Springs.

My spring install was about $500 at a local mechanic. I haven't personally ridden in the Storms, but anecdotally I've heard that the ride is a little firmer than stock, but not unbearable.
