  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Type of bulbs for rear reverse and turn signal

I’ll def try and post pics and vids after the bulbs come in. I did look at those, decided to try this bulb instead since one reviewer said it worked with his veloster.

So the manual says P27W but the car actually has 1156?

Yeah the bulb I pulled out of the assembly were 1156 bulbs. I think the manual doesn’t specify the connectors type only tells you the wattage they pull P(power)27W(watts)

If they're 1156, perhaps give these a shot?

https://www.amazon.com/SiriusLED-Built-resistor-Extremely-position/dp/B0774B5W53/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1545656970&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=1156+turn+signal+led+bulb+resistor&dpPl=1&dpID=51ym+fFBJSL&ref=plSrch

These have a built in resistor, specifically for the turn signals to avoid hyperflashing. A bit pricey, though.

Let us know what you end up doing! Thanks for the updates so far.

Those were a contender but I went with a different brand since it had 1 day pick up available 😅 hopefully let y’all know by tonight

Can someone explain what you folks are trying to do?

I don’t understand what this upgrade will look like over stock.

Pictures help...haha. Can anyone post an pictures of what the outcome will be compared to stock? Doesn’t have to be a G70.
The incandescent bulb throws a localized beam of light that is diffused internally via the housing. So there are distinct hotspots that make it look old school. The LEDs throw out a brighter light and depending on the type of bulb, in almost all directions with the same intensity. So basically like a light saber which is brighter from tip to handle. And combined with the diffuser in the housing, it fills that whole cavity with a solid beam instead of a single hotspot and a diffused glow with the incandescent bulbs!

Nice. The built in heat sink is pretty cool (see what I did there?). I did notice in the description that they may overheat and hyperflash if you use them continually for like 2-3+ minutes, but after cooling down they will reset back to normal. But, I doubt you'd be in that type of situation very often while driving normally. Also, they list a lot of protective features that will make them very long lasting. I had no idea there were so many components to a simple LED bulb. Haha.

Looking forward to read how they turn out!

Their website actually states 8 minutes. But yeah my blinkers are never on for more than like a minute. Def refreshing tracking page every few minutes lol

-was looking at resistor adapters, but they all seem to be so-so, in terms of quality and fitment according to reviews.

Which one did you buy?

The other problem with resistor for the G70 is there is no room. The assembly sits flush with the frame and one hole to expose the main connector. If you want to add resistor you’d have to cut a hole in the metal

Video can be seen link above. No hyper flash very happy with the bulb quality and brightness. Video shows LED vs OEM bulbs. Looks better in person with it being so dark out my phone can't really adjust in time for flashes
How was the install? Take long? I haven’t even bothered to pop the rear tail light latch open yet. Someone mentioned having to take the whole assembly apart?

About 30 mins for me. Just 4 nuts and you can pull the out of the tail lights from the frame. Swap bulbs and put back in. 1 screw is a pain to reach you might need a small wrench and universal joint for 10mm socket.

Just do it slowly and don’t drop any nuts wiggle out the lights and you’ll be fine

Outstanding! It's looking very bright. Thanks for posting the video! I really think you got the best of the best in terms of automotive LED bulbs.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
So, what about the front blinkers? Are they LED from factory already? Only in the G70 rear's one are halogen?

So far no luck online to get the LASFIT's ones Nd1017 used. Amazon does not ship this item to Canada and looking more sellers, i don't see anybody else does. Maybe somebody found a link to ship them over here, please let us know.
