  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Nice...it’s fast right? What a car.
Yes it is. Way faster than my 2016 Genesis 3.8. Driving back home in the highway a guy in a f'king Kia Optima tried to overtake me, I pressed the gas to the floor, in less than 10 secs I was at 115 MPH. This shit is super fast.

Too funny...happens to me all the time...way to fast.

I had some Caddy chasing me on an on-ramp. I hit the interstate at 105 mph...wtf?!? I slammed on the brakes. Unreal fast.

Yeah I will have to be careful from now on, I don't wanna be pulled over by the police every other day LOL

I am in shock I haven’t gotten a ticket yet. Mind you...I get up and go...but always shut it down around the limit.

I don’t cruise over the limit. I just like to get there fast...which is legal.

That's smart, I always try do the same, fast starting but then I'll go with the flow, find someone that goes at a nice speed and go behind him. If someone gets pulled won't be me.

I remember a post on reddit where someone got a ticket for accelerating on an onramp for "reckless driving", I think it was VA where cops are notorious. I always enjoy merging in a spirited manner on onramps as well, it's really the only place where I can go full throttle out of necessity and take some of the boredom out of driving in the burbs. Thankfully never got a speeding ticket in my life (just 1 warning for a blown out rear brake light) but I have a feeling my luck will run out with my current car, it just asks you to give it more push.

A long time ago I promised that I woul show my numbers the day I'll get my car. Well, that day has arrived. Here you have.
Genesis G70 3.3T RWD Prestige package, Havana Red, Grey interior. 36/12k lease.
MSRP: $49225
Sale Price: $48225
Lease Cash: $1000
Loyalty Incentive: $1000
Adquisition fee: $750
MF: .00002
RV: 52%
Dealer fee: $999 (Florida authorized burglary)
Registration: $66
Down payment: $1000 (for the paper stuff) + first month
Monthly Payment $644.72 (7% Florida tax included)

Well done, seems like you got a great deal! The red really does look better in person than in photos and I'm sure it will turn a lot of heads in FL

Hi, new member here, doing price research for my brother in Indianapolis who is about to buy a G70, AWD with the bigger engine. Greatly appreciate finding this forum (I am a Miata guy myself and have loved the Miata forum for more years than I care to admit). Just read the whole thread, thanks!

So to summarize it seems that inventory is still tight but (inferring from the lease deals) folks that are buying may be able to get about $1k to $2k under MSRP.
-- The lease deals have a loyalty incentive but these seem the same as the $1k offered for conquest sales.
-- I see $ for an acquisition fee - I am guessing this is a lease thing or a dealer add on?
-- Is there something like "lease cash" for those that are buying the car outright - anyone know?
-- Looks like there are some great discounts for employees or friends of employees, but these are not really accessible.
-- Waiting until inventory improves (obviously) will improve opportunities to deal on price.

Appreciate everyone's posts and any help out there.

Welcome aboard. It would probably be best to check out the thread for the G80 purchasing (link below). There is not much on there for the 2019s but it may help. I will imbed my answers in bold below.

We have not had a lot of activity on the G80s and the deals varied. I think we had some with discounts in the 4%-5% area.

The conquest and loyalty are available for leasing and purchasing. The conquest is for those who own/lease a competing model (there is a thread under the general Genesis Forum showing the manufactures) and the loyalty is for those who currently own/lease a Genesis.

That is a non-negotiable fee for doing a lease.

-- Is there something like "lease cash" for those that are buying the car outright - anyone know?

No, you will just have whatever discount you can negotiate.

-- Looks like there are some great discounts for employees or friends of employees, but these are not really accessible.

That is correct, only need to consider those if you are one of those.

-- Waiting until inventory improves (obviously) will improve opportunities to deal on price.

Probably but depends on when you want/need the car.

Appreciate everyone's posts and any help out there.

OTD price for G80 with or without pkg

Florida dealerships are bringing up a $5000-7000 mark up for the cars saying that "Genesis has given them that directive" because they will only get a limited amount for 2019.

Does anyone from Genesis pop in on the forum? I would love to know their reaction to these dealer experiences.

They have had such a rough launch you would think that they would be all over their dealers trying to ensure the dealers delivered a luxury buying experience. They won't get a second chance at this - slow opening dealerships, poor inventories, only sedans when everyone (don't know why) wants SUVs... If word gets out that the new dealerships are behaving like Hyundai or Chrysler dealerships, it will be five years before they repair or establish the reputation they seek and which the product deserves. Perplexing.

What part of Florida? In Miami I got $1000 off MSRP yesterday.

That is not accurate as far as any information we have received. Can you please give us a link to the posting?

Dealerships in Central Florida. Which dealership worked with you?

A long time customer, I went into a couple dealerships, they didn't even want to go down to sticker price (and that was they including the $1000 incentive).

Please mention the dealers you visited, without that info your postings are useless.
