Anyone looked at this yet? Is it a hard process?
Is it legal?Anyone looked at this yet? Is it a hard process?
I would figure its a simple dyi if you wanted to tackle it. Taking out the assembly is easy. I did that to replace the none LED bulbs. And the lights themselves are mostly flat.Anyone looked at this yet? Is it a hard process?
There are many different levels. But the basic tint looks like factory blackened tail lights. The red appears deeper!
That was the first thing I thought when I saw the LED brightness, my car is red, maybe a little bit of darkness on the rear lights would be an interesting option on a red car. This would also darken the turn signals and reverse lights. May be worthwhile for us that did LED swap and feel it's too bright (though I personally think the brightness is fine).

The gunsmoke option on Lamin-X looks pretty good ...
I'm digging the "tint" option. Relatively subtle.. Looks like the film would protect the plastic on the taillights too, as that stuff scratches pretty easily.
Just ordered Lamin X taillight covers. Most basic "Tint" option. They have a 20% off deal going on right now, I couldn't resist!!
I'll post a before and after, along with installation process.
Shipping price to Canada is insane for a flat package!
Looks very nice! Is this just regular window tint, or did you buy a tail light cover kit?
