Personally the biggest disappointment from the NY Auto Show was the Mint Concept. Genesis always hit it out of the park in my opinion for concept cars and I looked forward to it every year but this time it was just bland and pretty boring. I really wanted to see a Coupe of a G70 in concept form with the new face on it. On the other hand the model that surprised me when it came to design was the 2020 Cadillac CT5. That model looks amazing and honestly props to Cadillac for finally figuring out their new design language.
Actually like the Mint concept; shows Genesis is thinking outside the box and there could be a market for an upscale urban BEV (also like how the dual strip light design can change/be differentiated).
Not surprised the facelifted G90 didn't show up as wouldn't be good to show up the 2019 G90 (of which there are dealerships just getting them or will be getting them); diff. for Canada since they've been selling the 2019 G90 for about a year.
As for the CT5 - the front and rear are pretty good, but the side/greenhouse just ruins it.
Really awkward shape w/ that atrocious black plastic panel (made worse w/ that chrome nib a la the Civic).
Also, the dash design already looks outdated.
Lincoln's new dash design looks more elegant and upscale.
