What things don't you like in the G70?

Minor irritations for me include:

• cannot reset memory seat position on the fly, must be in park.
• no unlock sensor, must touch button to open car or use key
• prefer info screen to be integrated into dash (see G80) as opposed to sitting on top and should be slightly larger
• no drag and drop functionality to reorder SAT radio stations

The memory seat thing is a safety feature present on other brands as well. Say if you're 5'2 and you accidentally hit the memory seat button for a 6'5 guy while driving, then your hands won't even reach the steering wheel and your feet won't touch the brake pedal.

This makes sense, a lot. Always pissed me off that you couldn't change the memory seats on the fly.... Until now. lol

I knew a couple like that. He was 6'6". Two cars but once in a while they would use the other's. This was in the days before memory seats. I heard some words from them that will not be repeated here.

A couple things to add to this is the auto folding mirror thing with the light projection. I live in a snow area and had to turn this off or the ice would break the mechanism and theres no option to keep the light projection on when getting close to the car, it does however project when exiting. Also in my Canadian version I don't have the passenger front seat adjuster on the side of the seat for the rear seated person

@Azmatik I was thinking about this the past few days as well. So if you turn off the approach/unlock convenience feature the mirrors stop auto folding?

That's correct. The welcome lights and mirror folding/unfolding options are linked to the same setting. There is no option to do it individually.

Is there no way to set it so the mirrors don't fold when you lock the car? Then you would still get welcome lights without mirror movement

No the option always controls both

Another thing to add to this thread. We got our first snow fall and the forward collision warning wont shut off, I'm driving around with a constant beeping and buzzing and can't figure out how to shut it off it looks like theres no option

Turn it off in the driver's console. It's under Driver Assistance (or whatever the option below the HUD settings are).

Given the duration of Winter and the frequency of storms/freezes here in the Great White North, you should really be able to turn the forward collision warning off/on easily with a single button push as on my wife's Outback!

I wasn't sure if it was caused by slush and snow or what. It seemed like if it was that, it would be going off all the time. If it starts to happen again this winter I may see what the dealer has to say. What could go wrong!

that has been brought up in many threads. Other cars (many brands) with sensors will cause yours to go off. You don't have to be all that close either.

Interesting, didn't know that. It hasn't happened once in the last six months. I'll have to see if it starts doing it again this winter.

Snow or any amount of debris on the sensors/radars will cause those warnings to occur. Just keep the front radar clean and you will be good to go.

As for what I don't like so far; not being able to turn on the heated seats when I remote start is a huge disappointment. Also there is something about either the way I sit in this car or the way the accelerator pedal is positioned because it causes the back portion of my foot to become sore on longer drives. Who knows, maybe that is just me.

Are you taking full advantage of the cruse control on long trips? You can go many miles and not touch the pedal. Some people are reluctant to use CC but I don't see why not.

There was a piece of ice on the bottom and slightly behind the sensor causing it to go off I purchased a outdoor winter car cover and should solve my problems. I also used to kind of feel the same until I found my sweet spot for my seating and also driving other vehicles made me realise how nice this car is. I would also suggest using CC like @EdP stated it helps alot! Second suggestion is purchase floor mats with a foot pad like mine
