  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What’s with all the new “used” red ones I’m seeing for sale everywhere?

Long story short. After submitting the warranty request to GMA two months ago right after I purchased the RED G70.
I got this email today from GMA.

" Dear John Doe,

This is Genesis Motor America, providing you with an update on your case. We appreciate your patience as we worked to clear your retail delivery report and add you as the original owner of the vehicle.

We have completed the retail delivery report change for your 2019 G70 , and you are now listed as the original owner.

If you have additional questions or concerns please contact Genesis Customer Care."

What does it all mean when it states " you are now listed as the original owner"?

1) Would I get courteous maintenance valet services good for three years?
2) Would I get 10/100K warranty?
3) Should I call my local Hyundai/Genesis dealership and ask?

I did make a call to Customer Care but the CSR was as clueless as I was.

It means that you get FULL rights as if you were first owner. Maintenance, Valet, Genesis Connect, etc. FROM ORIGINAL SERVICE DATE (mine is 5/30/19, I bought in March 2020, so I have balance ) See my post #35 above: that is a pic from service order when I went to pick up key fob

Has anyone negotiated a lower price than what’s advertised, or is that as low as they’ll go? I’m interested in one of these and want to have as much information as I can before visiting the dealership.

You are considered the first owner if buying a demo or loaner car. It's defined in the Warranty manual. Here's a clip from it -

For me personally I called the dealer in Texas that had a couple, I asked if they would move on them and the person told me absolutely not and then never followed up... The dealership that I ended up purchasing from in Medlin, TN took 250 off. (basically nothing, purchase was 5/29/20 38699, then fees ect.) I did not haggle to much though. Absolutely love the car. I also got all of the remaining warranties and what not but did need to call Genisis and create a case or something like that but it was relatively painless.

I'm looking at a dealership in TX too, one of them has 4 Dynamics with under 100 miles on them, all priced $39,991.

I don't need a new car, or new debt, but this is a heck of a deal that I may not be able to pass up.

lol, I was in the same position... I am glad I did, the car is fantastic, and even at 39991 it's a great price.

I'm looking at a G70 with the dynamic package & really love the price of the one I found. What I didn't like was that the dealer was trying to get me to pay $2500 for the "Certified" warranty when the car is listed on Genesis.com under certified. How tough was it to get you listed as the original owner?

I would question them on that. Mine had 57 miles on it. I explained the situation to the genisis rep online. I sent them the bill of sale and they assigned the rest of the warranty to me. Super simple. Sounds like they are working on upcharging.

Awesome, thank you.

That's exactly what I did. Get on the Genesis Connected numbers. Do a little dance and play a little violin. Submit the paperwork as required then wait.
Mine seemed to take forever amid the situation at the time but it went though and I am happy.
Even better yet. I am listed as the original or first owner.

I got a 2019 Havana Red 3.3T Dynamic Edition RWD with 86 miles on the odo for $35,800 about 2 months ago (May 2020). I have all the remaining warranties (no concierge) I've gone over the entire car and no paint issues that I can see, but did have what appeared to be dried up adhesive on the chrome trim around the windows on both sides. I was able to remove it. The car looks great and I saved $15k off the $51k sticker price!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Saw example of the red panel difference at the dealer near me when researching to buy. They had a red 2019 selling as new with a 11/18 build date. The bumper has a more orange hue in direct sunlight. I bought a promo "used" with a 8/18 build, don't know if repainted, but it does not exhibit the same orange hue in direct sunlight on the bumper.

The price you paid is sick. Probably one of the best deals I have ever heard of for an incredible performance and awesome looking vehicle. Congrats

You mentioned all the remaining warranties.
Dunno if you realize that you'd get the remaining 5/60 left from the first owner in this case it's Hyundai and that would be it. No 10/100 power train warranty.
Unless you did what I and some other members here did.
Call Genesis.
It will take care of the concierge option for you at no extra charge and the concierge service would start at the date the G70 was delivered to you for three years. I do not use the valet service but the free oil change for three years is hard to forfeit.
More importantly if you want to keep the G70 for a while. Make sure you ask for the 10/100 remaining warranty as well as you be the 1st owner to be reinstated.
