Has anyone found brand filters for the 3.3 than WIX or OEM?
Pretty much the only 2 choices availableHas anyone found brand filters for the 3.3 than WIX or OEM?

Wix for the 3.3 from Rockauto used to be under $7.00. Shipping is not free, but I ordered (4) last time from Rockauto and I’m thinking I paid roughly $30 total. That was a year ago and I still have (2) filters remaining. The Wix are made in S Korea which I thought was a strange coincidence since our engines are Korean too.CORRECTION!! Those K7N and Mobil 1 filters I viewed at Advance Auto are NOT the correct filters for the G70 3.3T. I just ordered a WIX cartridge on eBay, 19 bucks including shipping. Comes with a new filter cartridge O-Ring and a new washer for the oil pan drain plug.....
Gotta love these dealers. Our 2021 Santa Fe comes with some free oil changes. The manual recommends only synthetic but the dealer does not use synthetic. For an extra $45 they'll be happy to. You're supposed to do oil changes something like twice as often when using non-synthetic. Of course they won't cover the inbetween oil changes. I bet when you're paying for the service out of pocket they highly recommend synthetic.OMG, Tinsley - that sounds like something I would do. What a mess! Sorry to hear that. The dealer's still doing my oil changes for free because I'm in my 1st 3 yrs, but they're using standard oil, the car doesn't call for synthetic (like my 2010 Camaro SS did - they spec'd full synthetic). But next time I'm going to furnish my own Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5W-30 and a Mobil 1 or K&N premium filter (they're good for a full year or 12,000 miles). I found both those brands of filters @ Advance Auto Parts. On the Camaro (6.2L 426 HP V-8) I used to change my oil only once a year - but I don't drive alot, I average 6500 miles a yr. But Synthetic is definitely the way to go, no matter what brand of filter you're using.....
I’m in the severe schedule out here in Vegas. I’m at 15k miles and I’ve had probably 6 oil changes at this point which averages to about every 2.5k miles. All free at the dealer, all full synthetic as a free upgrade from the normal stuff. I barely do any driving, but my service advisor lets me do oil changes based more on timing, since I’ve had the car 2.5 years at this point. Maybe I’m lucky with my dealer, but more often oil changes shouldn’t be a hard thing to swing for them to paySo knowing that we have every 6k to go for maintenance, I’m old school and have always changed my oil every 4-5k. I don’t mind paying for an oil change but also see how pointless it is if I can just wait the extra 1k. I have been driving my 3.3t pretty aggressively though since hopping into it… should I then just take her in for a change at 3,500? Again this is the anal me who’s used to those 4-5k oil changes lol
After using oil, how do you feel about it ? Does that particular oil make a difference for your car in performance in a way ?Last but not least, I used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30 full synthetic oil.
He's not on the forum anymore. He sold his car. After using oil, how do you feel about it ? Does that particular oil make a difference for your car in performance in a way ?
I use pennzoi platinum ultra and have since changing from factory oil. Only have 6500 on the odometer. First change at 1000 miles and 2nd at 6000 miles. With most synthetics not sure your really going to find much differences. I ran Mobil 1 in my G37 for 9 years. Would have loved to have looked inside that engine to see how clean, or not the inside was? Some synthetics use some trickery in claiming their oil is synthetic. Multi stage refining with petroleum oil allows some to claim synthetic for the molecular size by then has gotten so similar to pure synthetic they get to claim ‘synthetic’. PP ultra, being made from natural gas I’m figuring is 100% full synthetic for it’s not suppose to have any petroleum products at all in it. Just a guess on my part though. Price wise PP, Mobil 1 and Ultra and very competitive so use what your comfortable with. Not sure with normal driving any difference would be noticeable. After using oil, how do you feel about it ?
