The different icons are visible in the web site, not the app.
There are 4 Tesla stations in San Clemente. Two of them are NACS stations, and two of them are not. The web site shows all four of these locations, with different icons depending on whether or not NACS is supported. Since you've told the Tesla app that you own a GV60, it only shows NACS stations. Your screen shot shows the to NACS locations. The 49 stall location at 101 West Avenida Vista Hermosa is not shown at all in your screenshot. Here's a screen shot from the Tesla web site showing all four stations in San Clemente, you can see that your map only shows the two with the plug icon.

I'm guessing that maybe you simply went to the outlet mall (below the word MARBLEHEAD on this map) on your own because you'd seen the chargers there, and figured you knew how to get there without using navigation. But if you look closely at that map, the outlet mall is on the ocean side of the 5 freeway. There is no icon on that side of the freeway on that map. The Tesla station that does support NACS is a mile or two inland from the 5 freeway, as shown on both this web map and the map you posted from the Android app.
The takeaway is that the best approach is to always start in the app, and use that to navigate to the station. Otherwise you may to end up at a station that won't work.
