If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There should be a number of purchases made by now. Perhaps our numbers can help future purchasers in their quest!!

Mine is 2012 white with saddle 3.8 base model.

Internet sales price $31,375 less $1,500 competitive rebate

Bottom line. $29,875 plus tax & titlt also received .9 percent financing for 48 months. And free oil changes for the first five years.

Pricing through ZAG American express plan.

Sounds like a great price! Does that price include the destination fee? What was the total sticker price including the destination fee for the model?

That price did include the destination fees. MSRP was $35,050. Other dealers in the area wanted between $500 over invoice to as high as "we will only sell at MSRP.

there is competitor rebate for the 2012 too ?

if that's the case then it sounds like a good deal.

Now I'm thinking, should I take a 2012 V6 with Premium pack, or a 2011 V8. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Not sure, but the competitive rebate may have expired on June 30th. If so, they will probably have another one out shortly.

I've been working with or on several local dealers who claim to beat any deal by whatever amount they happen to choose. When it comes to putting up-they leave the game. The dealer they seem to be having a problem with is Fitzmall.
Like I say- I've just started the process and I'm making it tougher on myself because I have a trade. Fitzmall has their price online in stone plus the typical baloney dealer fee of $499 and transfers of $170.
I'm looking at the V6 plus premium package and it appears to be priced at a MSRP of $39,885. Fitzmall discounts it to $35,096 which by the way also includes the $1500 customer loyalty/ competitor rebate. The deals still in the working stages but it appears they're giving me a good price on my trade which is something the other dealers weren't even close on. It seems like most of the dealers will give you a decent price on the car but then "take it back" with the trade in. So far- I've dealt with three dealerships.
One of my local (meet any price) dealers offered me the car at $36,500 but when I brought up Fitzmall's $35,096- the salesman gave up and emailed that I should go buy the car from Fitzmall.
Like I said-it's not done yet-but I'll let you know how it goes.

As far as I know the Competitive rebate last until the end of the year (12/31/2011)

Damn ... it's getting harder and harder to pick ...

2012 v6 333 horse ... vs 2011 v8 385 horse

Only problem is the 2012 /w premium will cost about the same as 2011 v8 fully loaded ... hmm ...

i'm sorry but i wouldn't take a '12 premium V6 over an '11 V8 for the same price. ever. if the '12 was a couple grand less maybe, but i would not get just the premium knowing what i know now and having lived with a couple 11's with the premium (when i my car was done a couple weeks getting paint work). mybe a '12 3.8 tech for a couple grand less, not a premium and definately not the for the same $$$$

Drive them both and you will go with the 2012 V6. I drove it yesterday and the difference in the ride is amazing. I am going to order it.

order what? compared to what?

The lowest priced Zag Truecar.com dealer in Northern California was $32,760 less $1,500 competitive rebate equals $31,260. It's unfortunate that there's such as big difference between the lowest zag dealer price between regions. Rambler16 mentioned that "Other dealers in the area wanted between $500 over invoice to as high as "we will only sell at MSRP".

I wonder why there are such big pricing differences. It seems like since all dealers have the same invoice price and holdbacks, they could all sell at the same price.

If a dealer won't give you a good price on your trade, take it to a "Car Max" and get a quote from them on purchasing your car. I actually had a dealer tell me to do that when I was purchasing my F-250 and they beat the dealership by $1600. However last week when purchasing the Genesis the dealership gave me 800 more than Car Max. Go figure. The price they gave me for my TL was right at what KBB was quoting.

I hace driven both and I like the 2012 3.8 fully loaded better than the 2011 4.6. See my post under the other thread comparing these two. 2012 looks better and drives better. But, there is no reason to not like the 2011 4.6, it goes!

the reason I said that because honestly, a V8 sounds nice but The hp difference is not really that much (333 hp vs 385) and the new V6 gets much better mpg and other minor update Hyundai did to the car.

I don't know ...

I'm going to buy 2012 genesis 3.8 fully loaded. a dealer offered $43,215 OTD fot it.
Is it good price?

There is no way to tell whether this is a good price or not.
OTD price includes dealer fees, taxes, tags...
All that is different from dealer to dealer and from state to state.
Please, let us know MSRP, the actual purchase price you negotiated, any rebates, any trade-in. So, all numbers before adding fees/taxes/registration.

Also, are you buying or leasing?

depends whats included in the OTD price.

I know that OTD price includes dealer fees, tax, title, etc. but honestly, I wouldn't pay dealership any fees if I can avoid it cuz most dealer fees are nothing but pure profit.

some dealerships mark their prices down a lot then try to rip you off at the dealer fees, 2 of the Hyundai dealers in NYC tried to pull that trick on me. Did I let them? you guess. I'm still in the market for a car right now.

On Hyundai's circle I seen fully loaded model at below invoice. So take the time and shop around, remember, it's your money, you have the power.

My wife and I walked out of their dealership for the third time-trying to get Napleton-WPB Hyundai to meet-and they said they'd beat Fitzmall in Clearwater's deal by $500. For someone that says they'll beat a price-Napleton says they're $2000 away and can't or won't meet Fitz' price.
I emailed Coastal in Melbourne and got the same response except for $1600. Nobody can see how Fitz can sell their Genesis 'so cheap.
Fitzmall's website quotes a $39,850- 2012 Genesis sedan w/premium at $35,069 plus dealer fee of $529 and tag and title transfer of $170. That price includes the $1500 rebate.
