If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2012 genesis sedan - price paid

I honestly don't feel right about 3.8 2012 prices going on. One of hyundai dealer in my city have them $39850 fully loaded pre $1500 coupon. I am sure OTD will be higher but coupled with low tax rate here it might be below $40000 OTD for 2012 3.8 if I am lucky. Too bad I am now interested in 4.6...
Hoping it doesn't cost that much. Given the differences $40000-$41000 OTD on 4.6 might be possible

Junkie,
That is an excellent price. This is the Hyundai Circle Plan A pricing.

MSRP: INVOICE: $43,850.00
Hyundai Circle Discount:$1,290.00
Hyundai Circle Cash : $250.00
Hyundai Circle Price†:$39,638.00
Hyundai Competitive Car Rebate: $1500.00
Hyundai Circle Pricing and Rebate: $38,138.00

Lol right on time!
I just snooped in on the Hyundai Circle.
I am not eligible actually but borrowed the CID just to check.

Even though the v8 is not available on the dealer's website, it is on the Hyundai Circle!

It came out to be (Sorry I just copied)

MSRP:$45,400.00
INVOICE:$42,295.00
Hyundai Circle Discount:$1,336.50
Hyundai Circle Cash : $250.00
Hyundai Circle Price†:$40,708.50
Expected Price after rebate: $39208.50

:eek:Thats hell of a price for v8!
It was white satin though (not my taste imo)

Now I want to be eligible!:(

Picked up a V6 sedan w/Premium package tonite at Coconut Creek Hyundai. I emailed several other dealers with Fitz' figures and asked them to beat the figure. CC called me about an hour after I emailed and said they would meet Fitz' price for an MSRP of $39,885 down to $35,096 including all rebates.
Also winning the too little too late award was Napleton Hyundai in Palm Beach Gardens who emailed me as I was buying the Genesis saying they would beat Fitz' price.
I'm still trying to figure out why Napleton in PBG would beat Fitz price but their "brother" in WPB couldn't come any closer than $2k difference.
I guess the lesson for everyone is find your best price and give everyone else a chance to beat it. If any of you guys live in Florida-fwiw- CC had 63 2012 Genesis sedans in stock- 6 in the configuration I was looking for. Fitz in Clearwater only had about 25 in stock.
All that being said- it's a really nice car! Now i just have to figure out how to work everything(lol)!

Getting the 2012 V6 @ 35K after all rebates sound really good !

It's just too bad that I don't think anybody in NYC would Try to even match FL's price ...

Wow nice mate. Picture time!

In dealing with VW dealers and their tight MSRP tendencies- alot of the VW guys are buying from a dealer in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Find a cheap flight in- salesman picks you up at the airport-get a great deal and in my case either drive home with your savings or I could have put it on the Autotrain that goes between the northeast and Florida. There's always options!

Add in local S. CA paper. 2012 Genesis 3.6 $29,874. This includes a number of rebates such as college graduate, military etc. This is 1 dollar less that what I paid. However I did not qualify for any of these ancillary rebates. I only received the competitive rebate. Curious if the dealers somehow turn those into Hyundai without the purchasers knowledge!!

This is what I am going to do once the V8 gets to the dealerships in my town.

If you can snoop why can't you print a certificate and purchase?

I would but few things to consider.

One major thing is that IF the dealer do check my eligibility, I am $&^%ed. (I know it is slim)

Second, even though v8 all comes standard, the certificate did not let me know the interior color style while it showed its exterior color, which is quite strange.

Third. I did not like the available colors. Only two available and they're both white.

Happened by my local dealer yesterday and saw that their first and onl. y 2012 v6 had arrived. Was a premium with the standard MSRP. Then I noticed the additional dealer markup of $1998!!!!!

Napleton WPB had marked theirs up $5000 but the first thing the salesman said was don't pay any attention to that. What a coincidence- I wasn't going to(lol). I didn't buy from him anyway!
They called today to ask about our experience at their dealership on Saturday. My wife answered and told the lady exactly how it was. The lady's ONLY response was "thank you-have a nice day" then click. That'll teach her to ask!

be glad there are. this way people like us get the deals lol

there is a dealer in NJ who marks up by 10k for pin stripes and small plastic things on doors and tires.

the same package on the Sonata was "only" 5k.

The best deal will be the 2012 4.6 V8, it has everything you need at a great price with Hyundai Circke. I consider it worth the wait instead of settling fir the 2011 4.6.

My wife got a call tonite from Napleton Hyundai- the place we walked out on three times in three days. I had emailed them that we had indeed paid the price discussed for our V6 w/premium (fitzmall website price) at another dealer. He asked "what did we REALLY pay for the car." He refused to believe we paid Fitz' quote price and hung up.
