  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2012 genesis sedan - price paid

Hello,
I believe this true car price can even be beaten. On December 14, 2012 I bought a 2012 Base 3.8 with no options for $24,500. This is $9,500 off of sticker.

Also, I was luckily to have been trolling around on Edmunds.com and ran across an independent offer for a free $1,000 Citi Bank pre-paid gift card just for registering before I purchased.
You must register before you purchase to get an email sent to you with a code and an email address to enter your new VIN after you buy. It takes a few days until your dealer paperwork shows up in Hyundai's computers though. Once I waited a few days past my purchase the VIN was accepted.
This offer seemed to only come up after Edmunds cookies knew I was researching a Genesis.
Not everyone will get this offer as it seems selective to the cookies recognizing specific searches etc.
I am supposed to get my "gift card" in about eight more days.

Frank,
What state do you live in? I'm looking to buy also, but can only find used 2012 that are priced at 27k with 15,000 miles?
I live in So. CAlifornia.

Thanks,
Scott

Hello,
I live in Wisconsin near Green Bay.
I am a Hyundai and Kia fan and buy every 12-18 months and noticed they have Genesis's leftover each December when I try to buy my autos between Christmas and NYE. I think it is because of the snow we get that does not make RWD popular here.

Hello,
The Edmunds offer that I experienced was real as I received my $1,000 Citi Visa pre-paid card today. t even says I can set a PIN and take out cash from an ATM. This is about 12 days after I purchased the car.
What a perk, I am, stoked!

I paid $27,250 plus tax, on 1/5/13 for 2012 Genesis Sedan base model Columbus, OH area. Dealer still has 1 available, and know of another available about 1 hour north of Columbus.

Did they have any incentives on that car? What color did you get? What colors do they have left?

drubush- Dealer told me Hyundai giving them 5k to get 2012 sedans off lot. They had 2 at the time listed on their web site for 28,200 and 27,900. Both titanium gray with black interior. The one listed at 28,200 did also have a trunk mat, and they threw in i pod cable and got them to come down another $1,000. If you want their web site, let me know.

On 12/27/12 I bought a new 2012 3.8 with Tech package, Metallic Platinum, Cashmere interior for $38,901 out the door. Works back to about a $35,600 selling price. This was at Five Star Hyundai in Warner Robins, GA. We really like the car.

If anyone is interested in 2012 Genesis Sedan base model I know of one available, 1 hour north of Columbus, OH. Color is Platinum with black interior. Dealer told me car had hail damage but was fixed and car is brand new and looks brand new. Based on my talk with the salesman 3 weeks ago believe car can be bought for around $27,000 plus tax, and title.

Purchased a 2012 3.8 Tech eleven days ago from Homer Skelton Hyundai in Olive Branch, MS, for $33,950 before TT&L. It included the mud guards, the sun roof deflector, complete rebadging, and the 10/2012 Navi update (still waiting on that). It is a Twilight Blue/Cashmere. As far as I know, he has a 2012 Platinum/Black 3.8 Tech still on his lot along with two or three new 2011's. Don't know what they're going for.

Today I purchased a 2012 5.0 (includes premium and technology) with 1850 miles for $37,000 in Los Angeles. It was a loaner for Equus owners when thier cars were being serviced. It is in perfect condition.

Just picked up last week a 2013 with a sticker price of $40200.00, paid 35600. The price included $2000 in rebates and 1.9% financing. Has the Premium Package with cargo tray, iPod cable, mud guards and sunroof deflector. This was in southeast Massachusetts, they had to get the car from another dealer also.

2013 genesis sedan - price paid

2013 Platinum base genesis sedan: paid $28k last weekend. Kirkland Hyundai. This is with $1500 competitor rebate & $500 rebate for financing thru HMC.

Just bought a new 2012 Genesis 5.0 R-Spec last weekend. In Canada Hyundai is offering a $10,000 final clearout price for the 2012 model. The MSRP in Canada is $53,499 so I picked mine up for $43,500.

I cross-shopped a new Audi S4, S5, A6 as well as a Mercedes E350. Those vehicles are in the $75K range new here; the S4 is about $65K. The only thing I'm sacrificing is AWD, which is not a small thing in Canadian winters, but I just couldn't walk away from the value for what I got.

I’m a potential new Genesis owner and looking at some NEW 2012 5.0 and 5.0 R-Specs.

I’ve been quoted a specific 5.0 (non R-Spec) 38,987 and it has 9984 mile. I think the price is a little high (based on what I’ve seen here) not even counting the almost 10,000 miles (they said vehicle was used as a demo from their corp office). For that many miles, what’s a reasonable deduction?

I’ve also looked at a 2012 5.0 R-Spec that has 3884 mile and was quoted at 37335. Less miles than the other but again, how much should one take off.

Thanks and I’ve really enjoyed doing my research and using this forum. It’s been extremely helpful.

Go to cars.com and you will see that is a crazy price. 2012 R-Spec's are showing up as low as 33K

Any prices paid for 2013. Not many 2012 left near me.

Still 2012 Base model 3.8 sedan in Marion, OH listed at $26,800, think you could get for under $26 for sure plus tax and title. For under $26,000 I think you would be getting a great car. Color is Silver with black interior.
