  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2013 R-spec owner trying to choose 2015 or 2016 V8

OK, then you are not going to get a Genesis AWD V8. Maybe you can get a G90 equipped that way.

I was being facetious. I am well aware I cannot get the aforementioned car in the US.

I suspect we'll see a 3.3 T AWD G80 for 2017 - maybe that would fill the void in the USA for you? :)

I'm doubting they'll do the G90 in a 5.0 AWD as the CAFE numbers will already take hit if the G90 has the 5.0 HTRAC as the EQ900 seems to be offerred with.

Will Genesis Motors be viewed as standalone from Hyundai for for CAFE requirements?

the 3.3 turbo is kinda redundent. it will probably get 3 or 4 more mpg vs the 3.8 with about same horsepower. a hybrid like the lexus es300h would really fill in a big void in thr market.

It doesn't seem redundant to me - as tuned for the G90, the 3.3 T provides a decent hp bump versus the 3.8 (365 versus 311), and a big torque increase (376 lb ft versus 293 lb ft). The power curve will also be much flatter with peak power much earlier. It might be more likely that the 5.0 becomes the odd man out for the G80. We'll see?
