Some of that might be the camera phone, but there is plenty of light. Not being a lighting expert, it looks to be all LED. It's a fairly white tone. My intention was to swap to bluish LED bulbs, but I like it well enough stock to leave it alone for now.

I checked out the lights on the demo I took for a spin and yes they are all LED all around. The cool thing is they will never burn out and will last forever and personally I love the color of LED and in fact swapped all interior lights on my 2012 to LED. Problem is only if you do not like LED and want to swap, you are screwed.

Have had my 2015 5.0 Ultimate for just over a week now, (came from 2011 4.6) so here are my likes:

• Empire State Gray ... wasn't sure at first but after waxing it, man it looks great
• The overall looks of the car. It looks elegant, I love the front end and wouldn't let them mess it up with a license plate (singing Judas Priests Breaking the Law)
• The seats are amazing. The best I have ever sat in.
• The HUD. Too cool for words.
• Panoramic Roof. I have had this on a Toyota and my Cadillac SRX, but it works really well on the Genny. Plus the way the interior shade slides open from the middle
• The engine. 420 HP. What more can be said.
• Sport mode. This really works. Throttle response is instant the shift points change and the suspension tightens up.
• Lane departure, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic etc. Great safety features. I have these on the Cadillac but again they work really well on the Genny.
• Power and automatic trunk
• Information at your finger tips... between, the HUD, the LCD between the gauges and the 9.2 inch screen you find out anything you want.
• Gracenote album art very cool
• The 30gb disk drive. I copied my entire flash drive full of music to the hard drive and it is there. This is the Jukebox feature.
• No more bass rattle when you have some funk cranked up
• The Genesis logo puddle lights. Its a gimmick, but it is cool and others will copy this.
• The pause feature on XMSirius
• The dual zone vent control. My wife doesn't like the AC blowing right on her and I do. You can now set that for driver and passenger.
• Top view on the back up camera. You can really see how close your bumper is getting to that object behind you.
• How hot my wife looks sitting in it
• The AC now has blizzard mode. I complained about this in my last Genny. I came from a Toyota Avalon that had AC that would freeze a side of beef. New Genny AC now gets really cold really fast.
• Carpeted trunk mat. I had to buy a lloyd after market mat for Genny 1.0. Genny 2.0 has a carpeted mat with logo and when you turn it over it is a rubber mat with a logo. Very clever.
• Winged logos every where. Wheels, hood, steering wheel, puddle lights, 9.2 inch display, gauge cluster and even the HUD boots up with GENESIS. Now if my dealer ever gets the trunk logo in, Genny 2.0 will be complete.
• Smoother ride, better handling
• Overall sturdy feel to all parts of the car including controls

Don't know what state you are in, but many are more aggressive on the front plate being on. After one $75 ticket on my last car, I relented and put on the tag - not worth being stopped and fined and many states are much less forgiving as they were in the past.

I live in Ohio, but 7 miles from the PA border and PA doesn't use a front plate. Haven't had front plates on:
2002 Dodge Grand Caravan (a mistake of a purchase I know)
2006 Toyota Avalon
2007 Suzuki XL7
2011 Genesis 4.6
2011 Toyota Venza
2014 Cadillac SRX
2015 Genesis 5.0

I do have a front Historic plate on my 1972 442.

No tickets. Have been pulled over for other infractions (speeding of course) but they never mention the front plate. I am going to knock on wood and sacrifice a small animal now to make sure that streak continues.

I have Ohio tags and spend a good amount of time in both Ohio and PA. I have had the tags mentioned exactly one time and it was as an excuse to pull me over for warning people about a speed trap with my headlights. I explained to the officer that pulling me over for warning people was a civil rights violation since multiple federal district court judges have ruled that it's a protected form of speech and his story changed to the plate (though he wrote both on my warning).

If you really really don't want them look up exactly what the requirement is in your state. You may be able to get away with either plastidipping the back of your plate or putting it in a plastic surround and tossing it under the drivers seat. You can then toss it on your dash if you think you're going to be pulled over. Note it's very important to toss the plate up there as soon as you see a cop pulling out, or think you've been nabbed by the radar. It is a very bad idea to reach under your seat when you're already stopped and a cop is approaching your car.

I really like my HUD too. I just wish they had done two more things. Added turn signals to it (perhaps just by flashing the line for the lane keep green?) and definitely adding the current gear/rpm while in manual mode.

I wonder if those could be done with a simple software flash...

You may be able to get away with either plastidipping the back of your plate or putting it in a plastic surround and tossing it under the drivers seat. You can then toss it on your dash if you think you're going to be pulled over.

That may work unless you were being pulled over for having no attached plate. Tossing it up on the dash after the fact would actually be worse.

In Maryland, they have gotten very aggressive on the front plate and take no prisoners. I also do not like to give a free pass to pull me over simply for the vanity of a bare front grill I cant actually see while I am driving.

According to the manual it operates with the manual select on stalk (wiper switch) to wet windshield.

This been on other cars for years. It is usually triggered after a certain number of windshield squirts. It is however a PIA for those who like their cars clean - nothing worse than windshield wiper fluid sprayed all over a newly washed car. I would rather not have it - things are never so bad my lights are covered in muck.

On BMW's, I believe it can be defeated by making sure the lights are off when using windshield squirting.

Very good point Ksoze I don't think I would like that either now that you have pointed that out. I wonder if there is a fuse you can pull.

Only the AWD models have this in the states and only the V8 AWD in Canada. Some logic says if you need AWD then you need headlamp washers. This makes perfect sense in my region due to all the calcium they use on the roads during the winter time however makes no sense for no snow areas. Would be nice if there was an on off switch or fuse as mentioned. Actually it should be a separate switch altogether to be used as required IMHO.

The Handling. Not just the smooth ride or the minimal body roll in corners, but this thing can seriously corner. I've never really thrashed about much other than highway ramps. I took my brother for a ride yesterday and naturally, I was showing off a little. I approached a side street that came in at an acute angle at what we both felt was too fast (probably around 40 mph) and when I turned in, it held the line so I got on the gas in the middle of the corner and it just ripped through there like it was a roller coaster. We were both impressed that a 4200 lbs car had just done that. No tire squeel. No body roll. Definitely no understeer. Just seat-of-the-pants awesomeness

I might have started the "dislikes" thread, but let me go on the record as saying I love this car.

I did just that with the demo, it blew my mind how well poised this car is when pushed. No comparison whatsoever to Gen 1. Felt as good if not better than my Mercedes SL.

I have 3.8 Genny (Saudi Arabian trim) and basically the standard with a bunch of options added on - e.g. it has the Panorama Sunroof, 19" wheels, AC and media controls on the real armrest, etc.

I am very impressed with the vehicle overall. What I did find surprising is that, the standard model here does not come with the CO2 sensor; officially. However, I saw a CO2 sensor sign on the info system and clicking on it takes me to the option of enabling or disabling smart vent control system (for the CO2 sensor). I was pleasantly surprised, needless to say

The other thing I found, which no one seems to have mentioned, is when using turn signals (with the headlights on Auto) in daylight, the LED DRL for the corresponding side with the flashing indicator turns off! I noticed it when I saw the reflection of my car in the car ahead of me. At first I thought the light was busted. But realised that it is how it is set. This doesn't happen at night though, when the headlights are on. Not sure if I like this 'feature', but it is sure interesting!

Any one else find this in their North American models?

Another cool set of bonuses (on top of the 5yr - 100K KM warranty) that comes with the Genesis (And Centinial/Equus) in Saudi are the following:
