  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis "Likes":

Pileits;145886]This version of the Genesis is one I won't even bother stopping by a dealer ship to even look at.
I'm still happy my 2010 Genesis 4.6 came with the ZF gear box that makes the car shift RIGHT NOW, when you punch it. When Hyundai started putting that slush box 8 speed they designed into the car I gave up the idea of getting another Genesis until or unless they fixed that transmission.

FJRmann;145890]Until a person has gone down, kicked tires and driven the 2015 Genesis sedan, can they form an educated opinion as to the feel, but who really gives a smack what a car rag has to say? I do enjoy reading the publications, but until one takes time to checkout for him/herself. I boils down to opinions and you know how the saying goes about them.

The absurdity of it all…..people criticizing a vehicle never driven or even seen. Did you know Mr. Rodgers was a Navy Seal? I read that. Probably part of Seal Team Six.

Having now put 1300+ miles in with the 5.0 Ultimate I must say it's one very well mannered car. I've now had the opportunity to get her on some pretty twisty roads (hard to find here in FL lol) and it's been a pleasure to drive. The seats are much more supportive and I think I'm pushing a littler harder in and out of the corners because of it :D ... I'm also loving the HUD, haven't had one in a car since my old Bonneville and enjoy how detailed and useful most of the information is, I would like to see blinkers added to it, wonder if that's something they can just do with software?

P.S. I still haven't heard anything back in reference to the potential wheel hop/suspension issue brought to the service manager, it will take a while I'm sure.

100% certain that it's possible in software. Since the system knows when the blinkers are on (KLA/LDWS), it is possible for them to add code to show the blinkers in the HUD.

Will they and when is up to Engineering and Marketing :p

[*]The 30gb disk drive. I copied my entire flash drive full of music to the hard drive and it is there. This is the Jukebox feature.

Were you able to do this in a batch process? I could only figure out how to transfer individual songs. I gave up after 30 minutes and 160 songs.

Yes, the word curmudgeon is applicable.

The things that I liked particularly about the Genesis were the :

Interior lighting
Exterior design
Red warning door light was crazy bright, which is great!
Rear lamp design

I had the same suggestion as him, and I'm figuring you're right. The only issue would be if the HUD weren't a single display unit, but the projector was specialized into sections. I'd imagine it would be a simple software flash as long as it's a single projection.

There is no such things as simple software change in a high volume, tightly manufactured complex product like this. That is why it seems to take forever for changes and in some cases, they never come. Every small change can create a new problem, hence why these things are locked down and infrequently addressed unless they pose a safety or highly competitive problem.

100% agree, I don't see them addressing this as neat as it would be to have.... but what they do need to figure out and fix that weird knock from the rear end no matter what is causing it. I have an HTRAC Ultimate this weekend for a couple of shows, I'll report back on how she does, I don't hear the noise in this car on the corners it happens to with the 5.0

I should hit a few of them nice roads again...........on purpose :D

Have you driven a couple other 5.0's and they had the same issue with the rear end?

Yes'.. we were able to duplicate it in two 5.0 Ultimate's on the same corners when under hard acceleration. This was from a standstill, when taking the same turns already moving around 15-20mph it didn't happen every time. I don't know what is causing this but I'd imagine it will be fixed. I will post more information if they happen to share it with my service mgr.

Yes, there is a transfer all option.

I couldn't find a transfer all option. I had a bunch of other stuff on my flash drive. Did you have only music on your drive? I had to start playing the song and then there was an option under the on screen 'menu' soft key that allowed me to transfer it to MyMusic.

Love the Bluetooth connectivity, it's super fast...about 10 seconds on my Galaxy S4. Spotify works perfectly via. Bluetooth, I download all my songs in extreme quality for offline use and don't tend to stream much. All the artist, song names show up and the majority of the album art is also displayed.

PM me to remind me if you want to make sure I respond. No, I also had some video files on the flash drive (but the Genesis is able to play those also). I don't think it had any unreadable file formats on it. I need to sync some more of my own music so I'll try to remember to let you know exactly where the option is. I feel like it was as soon as you were in the USB Media mode, if you went to menu from there before even selecting a song.

I did notice it wouldn't recognize the drive at all in NTFS and I reformatted it to FAT32

Simple as in it would only require changing a few lines of code. Simple as compared to a multi-piece unit where a separate module would have to be added to project a new indicator. Simple =/= free, Hyundai would do it, etc.

Yet another like :).....The Steering. At low speed in parking lots etc. it has a super light feel to it and the wheel turns easily making maneuvering simple and effortless. Once above 25MPH the wheel becomes a bit heavier in hand, around 45MPH it's got a good amount of resistance and feels connected to the road. The steering feedback to me feels much better than my 2013's.
