  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis "Likes":

This car is sounding more and more like a nagging back seat driver....;)

Yes, and not only does this car nag you, but you have to pay it extra to do so. No wonder it costs so much.

It seems to me that the Parking Assistance System beeping sound comes from area where that the sensor is active. If you are approaching an object on the left or right the sound seems to come from that side. If you are approaching an object directly from the front or rear the sound seems to come from the center. Has anyone else noticed this or is it my imagination ?

I think you're right - I thought I noticed that but haven't had it happen again. EDIT: I just checked it and that seems to be what's happening. Stereo parking warnings - what will they think of next? :)

I really love this car. Every time I drive it I find something new I like.

- I like how the air con almost turns off when you use the bluetooth or google search so you can hear.
- I love the 9.2 screen
- Puddle lights
- Folding mirrors
- Seats are very comfortable
- Cruise control
- HUD

I'm so glad I bought this car, I get multiple compliments a day on it.

I love that so many small things are configurable. Like off/normal/extended amount of sliding for the seat/steering wheel when the car turns on or off, the clicks for the one touch blinkers, lock/unlock preferences and sound (including two press unlock,) headlamp delays, welcome sounds, park assist volume, the list goes on and on.

None of these are required to normally use and enjoy the vehicle, but for people who pay attention to small details - like me - I LOVE that I can adjust them.

They turn almost-insignificant annoyances into something that constantly reminds me how awesome my car is. (Or will, I still have a 2012.)

Posted once before in the dislikes that the “High Beam Assist” had to be turned on every time the car was started. But I have to say this tonight I was able to really put the system through some challenging situations and it worked flawlessly. I stopped using the high beams for a while before mostly because I was concerned that I might forget they were on and blind an oncoming driver or blind somebody through their rear view mirror which occasionally did happen. I travel very dark roads sometimes where I live and there’s deer to be concerned about. This system reacts so fast even my passenger was amazed. Like many of the other systems on this car it looks like they put some real effort into getting it right. In well lighted areas even without any traffic it keeps the beams low only when the environment is considerably dark and no traffic does it allow high beam. I only saw it fooled one time. I was approaching a short pole with a red reflector on the side of the road and it momentarily lowered the high beam I assume it’s programming reasoned a tail light. I’m back to using my high beams again.

Were you not able to see the high beam indicator light on - on most cars it is hard to miss? Being courteous is admirable, but your safety on dark roads is greatly enhanced by high beam use and if that is what it took to get you to use them, good.

On very dark roads I was very reluctant to take my eyes off the road. Dark roads with many blind curves and some times a car behind on your tail looking to pass. Age has its cost.

That's a nice list of options you like. I'm picking up my 2015 5.0 ultimate Tuesday, and trading in my 364 day old 2013 Rspec. The Rspec is a solid well built machine, but I need the seats in the 2015 Genesis. Regards.

Someone may have mentioned this but it is new to me. I started my car today and the air conditioner came up to full speed to cool the car down. I placed a phone call and as soon as it connected the fan speed dropped way down. When I hung up, the fan speed went back up. I thought that was cool.

^ nice.

I appreciate that feature, also. In my 2009, I was accustomed to punching the buttons to silence the down button for the fan and then bring it back up after the call (auto). Navigation, likewise. Seems like in Texas, a lot of the year the fan is on high and it is nice that it responds like this.

In a car where nearly everything is computer controlled, there is a lot of opportunity to include little perks like this.

I like the fact that the ignition switch modes stay active individually until the ignition is fully turned off. In other words, if you're listening to the radio in the Accessory mode and then start the car the radio stays on - it doesn't have to "reboot". You can also turn the ignition switch to "On" say, to open or close the windows, and then back to Acc without the ignition requiring a reset. Also the radio stays on until you open the door at least for a couple of minutes. It seems to be very well thought out.

Now that is a must have option. I like it when you all point out these little things that were never mentioned in any of the reviews we have read online. Keep them coming. Thanks again rrobbins

Here’s one I noticed today. If the smart cruise is set to say 55 MPH and your speed decreases notably like 20 to 25 MPH caused by the car in front slowing down the selected cruise set point reappears in the HUD in its usual position above the lane icon. Once the speed gets to within 5MPH (approximately) of set point it disappears again.

OK, this one is silly. The graphic that appears to show that a door is open is animated. It actually shows the door opening or closing on the graphic.

How strong is the A/C in the Genesis?

I drove on a zig-zag back road the other night and the heads-up display displayed yellow road signs showing the upcoming corners as I approached them. There were right and left arrows and also a zig-zag sign as I approached a tight "S" curve. I though that was pretty neat.
