  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis Sedan 5.0 Wheel Sizes and offsets

See my build thread.

I am running 20x9 and 20x10.5 and I think I have the oem specs posted there or in one of the aftermarket threads I started last summer.

good luck and welcome.

Thanks! I cannot open your aftermarket thread maybe because i am using the office laptop, I will try again later from home.
Question: did you notice any significant ride improvement running on 20 inches wheels?

I installed my springs and wheels/tires at the same time so I cant speak to what just a wheel and tire change would do. Even with the mods my car handles and rides very close to stock.

FYI for those tryng to finger tire diameters.
the formula for tire size = width divided by height x2 divided by 25.4 (metric) x2 plus the rim size = X

245/45/19 = x of 703.1mm
275/40/19 = x of 702.5mm
235/45/19 = x of 694.1mm
easy peasy math ;)

The 20 inch wheels/tires won't improve your ride, in fact probably the opposite is true. Did you mean handling? In answer to that, my handling is a bit more crisp with my springs and tire setup. The ride is a tad noisier.

Has anyone done this yet?

I've been reading for the last hour and have found nothing.

Wrong keyword searches? Perhaps. Getting intrigued by mathematics while looking around the site. Definitely.

I'm interested in dumping my 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec SEMA projects that I purchased in March for a 2015 Genesis Sedan 5.0 Ultimate.

Main reason for asking this....

I have set of wheels that I just recently had built that will be part of my main reason for buying the vehicle either now or a year from now. If they fit, I will buy it. If not, I will continue my current build.

That might sound like odd reasoning, but it's my reasoning.

After a brief check, I believe what I have will fit the rear currently. However, I'm not certain as to the front. Getting a dealer to play along hasn't been exactly fun. That and I won't allow their careless technicians to touch my wheels in any way shape or form.

Thanks for playing and I hope someone has an answer for me.
