Sales people are chosen by dealers, not by Hyundai. Given that Hyundai dealers sell a lot of low price cars (compared to luxury brands), you are not going to find the same level of knowledge or professionalism that you would at a dealership like Lexus,
Infiniti, Acura, Audi, BMW, or MB, etc.
There have been some interesting undercover stories written by journalists who got a sales job in car dealership and then wrote about the experience. First, most sales people don't make a lot of money, especially on lower priced cars.
Second, the number one criteria for getting hired is that a person demonstrate that they want to make a lot of money (and will do whatever the sales manager asks them to do). Knowledge of, or interest in, automobiles is not even a minor consideration when hiring car sales staff at the vast majority of dealerships.
