I'm not digging the back end of this at all, very "busy" no clean lines and the rear lights look squashed.

The slats in the front grill. The Fusion has a somewhat different shape grill, but about the same size.

"Big mouths" are definitely in fashion.
I wonder if the final version will not sport a different front grille.
It would be easy to change it just in the delivery time.
Overall I like the car VERY much. As many, have an issue with the grille.

I think it's pretty safe to say what you see is the "final version".

I know everyone has their own opinion and looks are obviously subjective, but I am starting to wonder if the real issue most of you have with the 2015 Genesis is that you already purchased the 2009-13 Genesis. IMO, the styling of the 2015 Genesis is improved in every way. I imagine it will only look better in the flesh and I can't wait to see it in Detroit.

I know everyone has their own opinion and looks are obviously subjective, but I am starting to wonder if the real issue most of you have with the 2015 Genesis is that you already purchased the 2009-13 Genesis. Yeah especially after looking at the picture of the fusion I see even less of a resemblance, personally I love the new look of the car.

I remember when Audi changed the front grille in 2002 (to a big mouth BTW) nobody liked it.
Time went by and now the old version looks just that: old.

No, the real issue is that not everyone shares your subjective opinion about its external styling. However, I do agree that it will probably look better to me when I see one on a show floor.

Yep not seeing it, different grill, headlights bumper, foglights etc only similarity it the straight line where the hood meets the bumper.

More similar than the fusion comparison but they are made by the same company, still very different.

The rear of the new Genesis reminds me of the Avalon every time I see a pic of either one. Squared-off rear vs. the Sonata is more rounded rear.

So, that's it? The size of the slats on the grille makes it look like a Fusion? Nevermind the fact that the shape of those grilles are nothing alike?

Fair enough, but I was speaking more towards the people who say the 2015 Genesis looks like cars it doesn't resemble at all.

The thing is, the grille really isn't that big. It's even smaller than the one on the Fusion posted here. It would be foolish to think that something as significant as a grille design would just change a week before launch and two months before its NoAm debut.
