yeah the horizontal grille doesn't do it for me either. I'd like to see something evolutionary off the current grille.

I see a nice mix of Audi , Volvo, Taurus taken to a more modern level.
The redesign is more fluid, refined and balanced looking from the current model. I agree the grill should be more distinctive and dominating. The flying H has been a big turn off and should be replaced. I remember the cartoon The Mighty Hercules from the 60's the H that was used meant power! Hyundai needs to take a look a changing their logo.

A lot better front end than that blunt-nosed HCD-14 concept from a few weeks ago. And better looking than the pics from further back with the tall squarish (Audi) grill. I still like the original Genesis front end better but at least this one doesn't scream "ugly" to me like the blunt one or Audi-ish one. I think this would look better if the upper grill and surrounding bodywork didn't poke forward quite so much - i.e. be more flush with the wide lower opening. It would only have to be moved a few inches back I think.

The side profile looks rather generic, and the upper character line is a little too prominent for my tastes. The profile isn't ugly... but it isn't pretty either. It isn't anything really. My opinion. Bigger Sonata?

I can't tell what the center cap shape is in the rims... in the pic it the cap outline has no pattern/shape at all; it looks ragged/random as if I tried to pen a circle with my left foot. I assume that's just an artifact of the angle the pic was taken and/or a resolution issue. The rims themselves don't do anything for me either; I like the ones on my 2009 better. If this pic is accurate I won't be tempted to trade in my 2009.

Much better!

I like the wing above the grille rather than on the grille.

At least the grille doesn't look like the alien mouth on the movie Predator like the new Lexus LS has.
