If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

It has alcantara headliner as well I noticed. It will probably not make it here but it would be nice if it did.

If available in black this would be awesome. If it's the cream color only I'd pass on the added cost.

Hi,
I was fortunate to drive a 2012 Genesis for a week while on vacation. I fell in love with the car and have been considering one ever since. It is now just a matter of time since Ive seen this new generation Genesis revealed. It is absoulety gorgeous. Im also fortunate to have found this forum where I can learn as much as I can before the purchase.

This may be a re-post but Ive seen a bunch more pics here. Enjoy.

thanks for that, some key elements

Powertrain PS Torque Transmission
3.0 V6 257 31.0kg.m/224.2 lb ft 8AT
3.3 V6 282 35.4kg.m/256.1 lb ft 8AT
3.8 V6 315 40.5 kg.m/293.0 lb ft 8AT
5.0 V8 425 53.0 kg.m/383.0 lb ft 8AT

vs current 3.8 torque of 291, 5.0 torque of 376.

I think we are getting moar POWER!

and finally the R-Spec gets the staggered treatment

Wheels And Tires

Wheel type Tires Spare tire
17.0 x 7.0-inch alloy wheels 225/55 R17 Tempo-size (T135/90 D17)
18.0. x 8.0-inch alloy wheels 245/45 R18 Tempo-size (T135/80 R18)
19.0 x 8.5-inch alloy wheels 245/40 R19 Tempo-size (T135/70 R19)
19.0 x 9.0-inch alloy wheels 275/35 R19 Tempo-size (T135/70 R19)

When did they release the updated R-Spec?

in Korea, the links are above my post, but those are Korean specs, I'm hopeful they aren't going to mess around with tires and power figures for US, just the rear entertainment system I would hate to pay for.

In one of the preview articles, a writer mentioned that the power bumps are modest but what Hyundai's engineers were really after was moving the torque curve in the V8 so that it would have a broader torque curve with more torque coming on sooner. So the peak hasn't changed much but it's supposed to be pretty noticeable overall.

Yes, and if they dial in better transmission shift programming in addition to a flatter torque curve from 1500-6000 rpm, the car's responsiveness could be unrecognizable from what it is today.

I was at my dealer the other day and we were chatting about the new 2015 MY Genesis. They indicated that the 2014 will be a short lived model year and we could anticipate an earlier than normal arrival of the 2015's. Sure hope they are correct.

When that 2015 is close to being at dealers, that short lived 2014 model will likely be a bargain after the incentives that will be put on it. . It will make for some tough decisions, especially if the 2015 lives up to the teases so far but with bargain basement pricing on the then "old" new 2014.

Hyundai Genesis Videos(from third party)

I'm really debating myself between Hyundai genesis 3.8 AWD vs Audi A7 prestige. Audi'll come up with a facelift model of A7 late next year. A used A7 seems around a little less than 60K. *I could lease one of two too.

Hyundai genesis is the best for money at this time I guess.

; When I see this promotional video(s) from Hyundai, it looks quite impressive and unique.

From what I can tell on the Korean Genesis website, they show eight exterior colors on their model in which you can change colors. Some of the darks are indistinguishable to me on my monitors. Can anyone translate the Korean text?

Thanks in advance.
I live in Michigan and will be attending the NAIAS and cant wait to see it in person. I will take plenty of pics there and report them right here.

Yes, it's difficult to determine some of those colors. What confuses me more, though, is that they don't show the Stirling Blue color that we saw on the earliest spy pics. We thought that light blue color had made a comeback.

Typically, USA colors are determined by Hyundai Motor America, and may not include all of those available in Korea (or may include others).

I have a question regarding headlights --- the version on the US blogs has a single projector lens, while the KDM had dual projectors. In the past, have the headlights differed between US and KDM Genesis? Obviously, we will have orange reflectors, but the US headlights look weak compared to the KDM ones.

Headlights do vary by trim level, even on current Genesis. None of the photos above show US versions, they are all KDM (even on US blogs).
