  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

For some reason to me I think the 5.0 wheels and the v6 wheels need to be switched. The v6 wheel design looks like it belongs more on the v8. I like the v6 ones better too.

As dreamofgenesis said, the 3.8 wheels are 18" only and aren't staggered like the 5.0 wheels. Personally neither is exactly my style, but I've got my eye on these:

Perfect for the 2015 Genesis' new brushed trim pieces.

You're welcome.

I think so.

It was bright and the car is away from me on the stage so hard to say exactly but I didn't see the illuminated door lights while all door red lamp were on.

Just so everyone knows, the buttons above the seat slider controls the thigh extender and the buttons that's on the lower left side of the lumbar support contols the power bolsters.

I'm sure many of you have already seen this video. Is anyone else bothered by the hood looking like it's going to open at around 00:27?

It sure does look like that.

Pre-production models aren't perfect, but they should be if they are going to be used in a video like this where the stakes are high.

For some reason, original specs state that illuminated sill plates on available on 5.0. Then again, same was said for LED fogs. I think we still may have some surprises before the cars actually arrive.

2015'll look like this with HID headlights and LED fog lights on.
No news recently on 2015 Genesis for US except for canada.

Really looks good. The only thing that would make it look better is if the badge on back end showed 5.0 AWD. That is the surprise I will be waiting for.

Seems like the issue as to whether Hyundai will launch a Genesis sub-brand 9in the near term) isn't quite dead yet, since according to Auto News, Hyundai USA, under its new leadership, is still mulling it over.

If they are going to do it, they should do it w/ the launch of the new Genesis sedan but it's going to be real difficult to pull it off properly (requiring dealerships to build-out a separate show-room space, if not a separate waiting area, for the Genesis sub-brand should be a requirement)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
have a custom seat bolted on and be done with it. You can take it with you when you change cars, will never have to think about the seats again.

With the amount of money you will lose buying a new car, a custom seat makes sense.
37 -- I would do the seat change out, but I need to reach the steering wheel and it will only telescope out 1 inch and that is not enough to keep me in the seat. The restricted 1 inch range is due to a Hyundai software change on the 2012-2013 models, and they will not do anything to reverse it. The genesis is designed to scope out the same distance as their other models, but again it was changed in the 2012-2013. Need a better seat, but could get by if the telescoping wheel would work as they designed it to do. As per other posters here, the 2015 telescoping wheel has the full range (not the 1 inch as mine does). Regards.

If they are going to do it, they should wait for the RK sedan and coupe and they will need at least one SUV/crossover. They need enough product to support the brand. Even if it is just a sub-brand you need more than the Genesis and Equus or don't even bother.

Thank You... I like the comparison to the other cars this site gives you...

Very well written and informative, but it reads like a Hyundai press release, not an auto review. I notice that when comparing the 3.8 to the other cars, they quoted the HP of the CTS 2.0 turbo instead of the CTS 3.6 which would have put the Genesis 3.8 in second place for horsepower. The CTS 3.6 has 321HP. I am not a fan of Cadillac, but if they are going to compare engines, it should be apples to apples.

It reads like a press release because it IS the press release. This is simply a repost of the press release, both from over a month ago. They didn't even change the title.

On the note of cherry-picking comparisons, did you notice they also used the interior volume of the 5 series, but weren't about to list the HP for the 550?

Press-release or not, I got excited seeing it again. Several things I'm excited about:
  • AWD- Consider me a convert after driving my best friend's Audi S5 (please oh please offer it on the V8)
  • Stiffer platform
  • Better handling over rough roads
  • Quieter
  • Better Nav that understands addresses in one sentence
  • Lane guidance
  • Upgraded interior
  • Blind spot detection and Lane Change Assist
  • Integrated Google destination search

I've got questions about whether or not front seats are cooled as well as heated (the press release says 'ventilated'). Losing cooling on the driver side would be unfortunate. I'm also happy to see Pandora, but disappointed that I don't also see "Spotify." I'm undecided on the smart trunk and CO2 detector; I suppose I'll appreciate it more on the next long drive.

hyundaigenesis.com states no HTRAC AWD for V8.

Hey there old-timers,

I bought one of the first 100 Genesis' to reach American shores in '08, upgraded to an '11 V8 and then had to sell it when I moved to Singapore two years ago. I'll be moving back to the US at the end of the year and just started researching the '15 models, one of which I'll buy as soon as I get back.

WOW...Hyundai hasn't been sitting still, have they? Oddly enough, there's nary a Genesis here and damned few Hyundai's for that matter (other than diesel Sonata taxis), as Singaporeans are hung up on German badges (70% of the cars here are stripped-down BMW/Audi/Mercedes, despite costing $200K - $400K due to outrageous taxes and mark-ups).

As much as I loved my '11 V8, what I'm reading about the features of the '15 models has me drooling and counting the days until I return and pick one up.

Greetings to Mark888 and any other old-timers that may still be around from the early days of this forum. Is Sal still the owner of the site? Talk to you soon!

Welcome home when you get here. I don't know if Hyundai has produced any right-hand drive Genesis sedans, which may account for lack of them in Singapore (aside from their obsession with German cars).

Welcome back, Musher. I remember when you went off to Singapore. Seems like it was yesterday.
