  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

^If all these trunks are open, you have to wonder why Hyundai is making so many photographic presentations that show this. How many show cars sit on revolving display tables with their trunks slightly open?

The one at Detroit was perfect, after seeing this post it made me look at the pictures I've taken at the car show and alignment was good.

I haven't looked on my last couple cars because it's been a total non-issue, but back in the day when my family bought a chevy with a crooked trunk it was just a matter of turning a screw adjustment to get it to line up properly. It's also worth considering that this may have something to do with handmade pre-production auto show cars. They could have even disabled the power trunk closure for liability reasons at some of the shows and that could prevent tight closure...who knows?

Here's a pic I took at Detroit: Seems both of these models didn't have the problem.

I remember on the Fisker Karma they had an issue with alignment somewhere on the front on even the production models.

A couple of crappy phone pics

This had the power trunk. I have no idea why those other pics had the trunk open. Maybe testing the automatic trunk?

Just seen this HD picture of a white Genesis with lights on, looks really nice!

^I'm starting to really feel this car. If I could just get over the grille.

At the Toronto show, they actually had duct tape all over the latch so that the trunk would not close on the V6. I asked the rep and he replied that is was to show the size of the trunk. they had the car powered but the fob was not in it and did not want anyone to close the trunk. The V8 was all closed up and the fitment looked ok to me.2015 5.0 Htrac.webp

what's the proposed mpg or kpl for the canadion 5.0 awd?

Is that the 2014 E350 sport on right? I have been actively looking at that car if indeed a Genesis V6 AWD is the only option. When you look at V6 AWD cars, there a good number to consider.

I was able to test drive the new 2014 E350 and it actually feels pretty fast for what it is, although the E550 would have been better. I do like the styling on the 2014's though.

I'm keeping my mind open for the MB E350 / E550 and the BMW 535 / 550 for my next car purchase. It depends on how I like the drive of the new Genesis.

Been on and off phone all day today with MB dealers regarding a fully optioned 2014 E350 4matic. Good handling car and around 5.8 0-60. Does not have power folding mirrors as option and has direct drive transmission lever on column which seems the direction is MB is going on all models. Trying to make a deal for $40 out of pocket plus tax/tags with trade in of my '11 4.6 with 37K miles. Do not think they will agree so we shall see what they come come back with.

I also have been looking at the Benz. The problem is that a fully optioned car will list over $65K and has less tech and features than the 2015 Genesis for far less. The discounts are pretty large on MB to lessen the gap (although not as large as December), but I need to drive the new Genesis to decide. I also looked at CPO E350's where one can get a good warranty and let someone else take the depreciation hit.

Sure wish they would make a decision soon regarding the 5.0 AWD. Lexus 350 AWD F sport has quite a bit of technology and is few thousand less than the E350 4matic sport.

Lexus also has good lease rates, due to very high residuals they set. Not as solid as the Benz and the tech is more current, but the Genesis will be one generation better. The F sport looks great, but again the Genesis may be a better buy if it pans out as hyped.
