  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

I didn't create the car, or the video. I just reported the facts. Why the sensitivity? As far as I recall, the US/Canadian media previewed Korean market cars in Korea for the reviews that have been published here, up till the LA and Detroit auto shows. No USA cars were shown. I'm sure Hyundai will be smart enough to eliminate such fitment problems on cars that drive off the boat here. In the meanwhile, we can all certainly comment as we like on observations that we have. TYVM

False, a v8 was previewed. They may not have been fully USDM, but they definitely weren't KDM either. They were pre-production! No one said you couldn't comment, just that you were beating a dead horse.

If they weren't KDM, then were pre-production versions of the USA model shown at Detroit Auto show. Several Hyundai sources said that production had not yet begun for the USA model and would be starting in February..

Is that not almost exactly what I said?

Unfortunately, according to the Hyundai rep at the Columbus car show this interior will NOT be coming to the US.

He was also willing to guess at unofficial pricing, and said that he expects there will definitely be a V8 under $50, but he wasn't sure if the top model might land above $50.

So what interior will be coming to US? Did he say V8 or AWD V8? Sometimes i wonder if these guys even know what the heck they are talking about. I think Hyundai USA is playing their cards close to the chest.

was following this thread forever but was disappointed with what's coming. Bought an "American" car of all things.

Too bad. Best interior of all KDM versions. What is Hyundai America smoking?

I just saw the new Genesis at the Mpls auto show this past Friday and was not at all impressed. Interior was nice, but nothing jumped out at me with this car. However, on another car class....the K900 was beautiful, and very impressive. Kia is on the right track with the K900.

037 What car did you buy?

Depends on what he meant by "this interior." The US top of line trim level will look very similar, but maybe not with those color options, and maybe a few switches missing for features not included in USA version.

I know what I bought, "American"

Okay, the Chevy badge is American. Maybe they stick that on at the port in California. The rest is a Holden Commodore, built in Australia.

Pics would be helpful in helping judge your taste ;-) For those not near a car show, pics are appreciated as we wait out the next two months or so.

You have a special talent for commenting without adding anything to the conversation. Your last post lightly reworded mine while quoting mine. This one isn't much better. OF COURSE I was referring to the color combo. Pictures of the interior have been all over this thread and everyone knows generally what it will look like. The availability of this color was discussed pages ago on this thread because it wasn't seen on any of the autoshow cars though it was available on the top KDM model and several people (myself included) said it was their favorite combo. The new news was that I got confirmation from a rep that it's not coming to the US. The rep seemed somewhat frustrated by this and said he didn't understand some choices HMA makes and he gave another example with the power liftgate not being on both the Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport even though the liftgate itself is very similar. I have 0 interest in either SUV, but his candor made me think more of his statements on the Genesis.

I didn't take any pics of any cars actually:)

I didn't take any for the Genesis since there are SO many pics on this thread already. Plus the car is as usual with a new Hyundai release......On a pedestal, so I couldn't even get near it.

Columbus was the same way. There were three cars at the show that had a pedestal and the Genesis was one. It was the only car at the show on a rotating one. I didn't bother trying to stand and wait for a decent angle to come around to get a picture of a V6 AWD in a color I didn't care for as a moving target.

I did get in an Equus briefly to look at the Ivory leather color, but that was the only thing of interest at the Hyundai display since I couldn't get close to the '15.

Say what?!?!?!

That interior is pretty darn handsome and I would most likely pick that as an option. What are they thinking??
