  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2016 Genesis News?

The brochure posted was from Eastern Washington State. The dealer tells me they have an order in for one and it is sitting in Portland Oregon waiting for the word to ship. October seems a safe bet.

i would have 100% taken a RWD V8 instead

Where in our fine country are you? My dad had a Gen1 V6 in Ottawa, and while he liked the car in the summer, it wasn't a good winter car...

... that being said, in Vancouver or maybe even Toronto, RWD is nowhere near as necessary. (Or you have decades of experience driving RWD cars without stability control in winter...)

Can you let us know how many 5.0 liter cars they get in. I am curious to know if they upped the quantity or decreased it.

My dealer in Eastern Washington just received a 2015 White Signature today. It arrived on a flatbed and was the only car! Hard to believe they are still receiving 2015's? The picture showed all the wrappings removed. It may have come from another lot?

as a single, yes it was most likely a dealer trade

Will there be any lease deals on the 2016s? About the only new feature I'd care about is Carplay, if it ever actually shows up on the Genesis. Not sure that would be worth paying a likely premium of $5k+ to get even if it were an absolutely confirmed feature.

I'm in Wichita, KS and my dealer just notified me today that his rep "doesn't expect 2016's to ship until Nov/Dec. As I get more info, I will keep you posted." I sure hope he's wrong!

A salesman doesn't want you to wait to buy a car, he wants you to buy one right now. He will tell you anything to get you to buy now. Anything.

Yeah that's definitely ARK Performance's AR550. Authors of that article need to check and recheck their sources and do their due diligence.

There seem to be a lot of Asian car blog websites that have incredibly inaccurate information, and just seem like clickbait. It's very frustrating when I am trying to find actual information, but this forum is enough of a resource for me. Glad I found it.

HKind of wordy (32 min long), but points out a few features that may or may not show up in U.S. or Canadian models.

Those features (ex. surround camera) already on the 2015 overseas will not be in the U.S. 2016 model, but will hopefully make it here someday.

There does appear to be changes in the Genesis warranty for the 2016 model year, which are beneficial. The radio, Bluetooth and navigation system are covered for 5/60. Based on the website, Hyundai states that there is a bumper to bumper warranty for 5/60 on the 2015 Genesis, the coverage is limited to 3/36 for those items.

Here is a Youtube review from Autogefühl on the 2016 Genesis 3.8 AWD.

New Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan FULL REVIEW test driven 2016 - Autogefühl

Great review. First time I've gotten to see the around-view camera system really shown as well. Wish that Hyundai US would have spec'd that.

I also see the Germans got the 3.8 WITH the 19" wheels among other things :)

A somewhat harsher ride is one thing they'll get with the 19's :)

This is correct and applies to all Hyundai vehicles starting in 2016, except the Equus which already had the 5/60 warranty on everything.
