Went to dealer today to see if they can help with my connected services not working on my 21 G90.The GM got the same response with the connected services help desk as me, "the investigation is ongoing" Hopefully next week. On a side note i took a ride in new G90 E, from the rear seat. Luxurious!.The leather was even softer than mine. One thing I noticed was that when car went into gear, either the trans or electric motor doesn't make a smooth transition. I felt it engage. Very noticeable. Is this a normal occurrence with electric motor cars? Other than that, I was impressed.
Car was in comfort for most of the time. He did put in sport at one point and it did put me in the back of the seat. Reminded me of my former 20 G80 Sport. Didn't feel much different in chauffeur mode. No highway driving though.I am not sure you are supposed to feel the engine. However transmission... You wouldn't happen to notice which mode it was in? Unless it's sport I would imagine you should feel nothing![]()
How do you compare the noise level and ride quality to yours?Went to dealer today to see if they can help with my connected services not working on my 21 G90.The GM got the same response with the connected services help desk as me, "the investigation is ongoing" Hopefully next week. I can only give my opinion while riding in the rear seat. The cabin was super quiet, but again, we didn't go on highway. My 21 is a very smooth ride, hard to say if the air suspension is a giant leap up, but I never rode in the back of mine. I'm more curious about that trans or electric motor engagement. It was quite noticeable in the back. Any 23 owners take a ride in the back? Did you encounter the same thing as me? I was behind the driver and the sound/feel came from my left side. I'm not trying to stir the pot here, I've never been driven in an electric car before. How do you compare the noise level and ride quality to yours?
Is it worth the upgrade when the above 2 factors are most important?
Speaking of air suspension, while it may be an upgraded ride, the potential for failure is pretty high. One of the biggest gripes about the Lexus air suspension is the failure rate. Not sure how that might relate to the new G90, but for me, I prefer non air.
I had a 2015 Equus and my front air bag went out in 2020, luckily they fixed it under warranty.I wonder if there's any data on the Equus air suspension failure, since it was their first foray into that?
My Verbier White with Obsidian Black / Bordeaux Brown Two-tone interior g90 came out of PPF and tinting yesterday so I thought I'd share a few shots. I'll be updating this post with interior shots later.
For those curious I included a shot of the rear with all the badges removed because I preferred to do a full PPF wrap instead of using cutouts around the letters. I'll be putting the GENESIS logo back on but leaving the model designation and AWD off.
A guy also happened to have brought in a G90 after my car went in for PPF so there is a side by side shot with the two cars as mine cures.
What with all the reports on the rear wheel steering causing motion sickness for the unfortunate rear seat passengers, I was just wondering if the RWS system could be disabled/shut off ?
I imagine if you use your new G90 for Real Estate work and do a bit of your driving in town, the effects might prove to be detrimental to sales due to your potential byers getting queasy all the time. Just a thought.
It sounds to me like reviewers are just doing donuts or spinning in place quickly which causes the back to basically go sideways. I don't know if it's relevant to regular driving. I booked a test drive in a couple of weeks to check it out myself.I don't know... Interestingly enough, when they said they felt rear-wheel steering kicking in, they were making a high speed 90-degree turn, which I hardly see a reason for.
Multiple reviews mentioned that rear wheel steering in G90 is "way too weird," or "made car occupants literally car-sick." For those who own E-SC version, what are your impressions?
I love mine. I did have a QC issue where there was excessive wind noise in the cabin (I say excessive but it’s about as bad as my gv80). Dealer immediately took it in. They did some quick fixes last week which lowered the sound significantly, and took it in this week after parts they ordered came in.I am still debating whether to go ahead or wait for another year for issues, if any, to be ironed out and the addition of autonomous driving level 3
