Aftermarket Exhaust options!

I have the JUN BL Racing exhaust and it sounds amazing I highly recommend this aftermarket exhaust if your looking for something louder and sportier. I’d compare it to the maserati ghibli with its valves open.

Here is a picture of the 2-mid resonators I'm talking about!

$100 to remove and weld on some new pipes. Can always go back to stock if need be.

I'm sure it sounds great - but some of us have performance in mind first, sound second. The resonators don't cause much of a restriction at all, especially compared to the rest of the exhaust.

That was #2 on my list. The video makes it sound pretty bad, and I haven't found any others.

Despite the bad video quality, I think it sounds pretty good with the valve open! Looks like they have a proper x-pipe in there as well.

Hmm.. Maybe. If only they had a driveby video...

If only ARK made the GRiP with valves, I'd pay JUN money for that.
So good. But after owning a GRiP exhaust on my BRZ I'm sure it'd be too loud for heading out to work at 5am...

After hearing it with better speakers than earbuds, it sounds pretty good. I think I'll put it on my short list.

That isn’t bad at all I might put that back on the list of options lol
The downshifts using the paddle shifters.... music to my ears. I’ll try to get you more clips tomorrow if you need any. Revs, inside cabin noise, etc. oh and decelerations from 3k rpm and below it has a nice gurgle similar to how a c63 amg sounds on decelerations

Where did you get your Jun BL exhaust from?

Def interested in the revs and decel sounds. I’ve never been bothered by loud exhaust. Use to race dirt bikes as a pro off-road so a loud exhaust is my happy place haha I just wanna be sold on the note before I spend an arm and a leg lol

In that case I believe this is the right exhaust for you, if you could tell me what other exhausts were you looking at?

Ark grip, jun bl gt and evc as well, Considered having a local shop build me a cat back with 2.5-3 inch pipe with an x-pipe but no resonators or mufflers. Jun bl has a full turbo back titanium system as well which sound absolutely stunning at idle and anything under 2k rpms but sounds way to raspy high up in the rpm range.

This system at idle is gold. Just not sure how much I can tolerate the high rpm note( which is rare that I actually get up there besides going to the track).

Yes I looked into this one but couldn’t find them selling it, I guess just a prototype or something, but the ones the listed above if your looking for sound.. either ark grip or jun bl racing. Gt is too quiet and evc is basically stock/gt. Although jun bl has the highest performance gain though of any of them. I think they have a dynochart to back that up.

Ya I can’t find it either. Plus being all titanium I’m guessing it’s gonna be in the 4000-5000$ range for turbo back system

Got my downpipe today. Installed it in under 2hrs with perfect fit. I got to say I was very nervous after reading stinger forum about fitment of other downpipes.
GUYS, THIS SOUNDSS AMAZING. Nothing against the way it was before, I just wanted a little louder.
IF YOU WANT A QUIET EXHAUST WITH ZERO DRONE, DONT BUY AFTERMARKET KEEP OEM!

With downpipes (I only took a short drive)

Valve closed- a little louder at low Rpm low speeds (love it). 60 65 mph actually seemed quieter than before downpipe. (Not sure update after longer drive so far love it)

Valve auto- noticeable difference a little more growl and noticeably different sound than without downpipe. (Didnt drive long in auto)

Valve open- WOW! VERY AGRESSIVE! Absolutely love it so far. In my opinion more of an exotic sound (Drone- what do you think!) Love the deceleration pops, rumble, warbling, whatever you call it love it. Did this with valve open before downpipe but could hardly hear it.

Pipes probably shaved 30% of weight also.

I cant say enough about this exhaust. The FIT, QUALITY, SOUND, CUSTOMER SERVICE (by email) AWSOME VERY FAST RESPONSE.

My opinion guys KUNSTWERK is the way to go! Options

-Just downpipe would add power and probably slight sound (different design than any other downpipe with the resonator or fake cat not sure).

Cat back evc (also offer sport non evc have no clue what its like) more sound deep low and with valve closed very low drone
Or
Full- cat delete downpipe with racing evc.
Alot louder and agressive with option to quiet it down with valve closed. And as I said interesting half way sound out of auto option.
I will try to post a video soon.

Hey Rob, congrats on the purchase. However, being completely new to car modifications and not mechanically inclined at all, it seems the more I read, the more confused I am. Hoping you can help me out here.

So adding the downpipes removes the catalytic converter, yes? How are the cars street legal after that? Where I live we must obtain an emissions inspection to renew license plates and I don't see how one could pass without it.

Are there viable downpipe options that leave the CC intact or reinstall new ones?

Also, are the secondary cats also needed for emissions compliance? It seems most of the cat-back systems remove these, yes?

I just don't want to be in a position where 2 years from now when it's time to renew my plates, that I have to drop another $2k to bring the car back to stock to pass inspection.

So from my understanding all cat backs start behind the rear most cat. I also have midpipes in my car that delete secondary cats. My primaries are still on the car and obviously I do not have a CEL. Im
Not sure how in depth your state goes for emessions testing. Im in nv and all they do is plug into the obd2 port to check for engine codes on new enough vehicles. They don’t use the sniffer unless a car is a certain year or older. What I’m looking for as far as mods is everything being completely bolt on so if needed I can just swap out to the stock parts(I’m assuming I won’t need to). Idk how high flow cats will effect the emissions test if you do both sets or high flow primaries with secondary deletes.

As far as the street legal part I do believe If all cats are deleted then yes it is not legal for use on the road. But unless you are constant racing around and get stopped by a cop who is having a truly bad day and trying to cite you for any and everything there is a very good chance you won’t have to worry about that. Unless your in Cali then in that case you will be in my prayers. 😂
