If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Any lowering springs for 2015 Genesis sedan?

I'm also considering a GT-S install (vs GT-F due to the extra 1in or so drop), but I'm curious about the actual ride quality vs stock. Does normal driving with the GT-S you installed feel very different over stock, or pretty much insignificant? I don't mind a slightly bumpier ride, but I want to avoid feeling every single bump or dip in the road that's usually associated with stiffer springs.

Does anyone else have thoughts on ride quality after installing lowering springs of any kind?
I was worried about the same thing. But I was surprised it didn’t make a huge difference. Even my mechanic was surprised. The ride is slightly stiffer but not bouncy. Definitely recommend Gt-S if you don’t mind being that low.

Can anyone tell me whether any of these springs are linear or progressive? I'm going to be dropping the car soon and have been researching without much luck. I'm leaning towards the ARK GT-F springs because I've been feeling like the drop on the GT-S is too much for me personally. I might consider the Storm springs as they seem to be between the 2. I've used H&R springs on my old Mazda6 many years ago and LOVED the linear springs. I found the handling at the limits, transitions in particular, to be much more predictable with the linear springs. I used Eibach prokit springs on 2 other cars and liked them, but the progressive nature of the springs wasn't my favorite and I preferred the feel of the linear springs.

I know this thread is old but just got my lowering springs installed last week. Loving how it drives. Now for some wheel spacers. Anyone with ARK GT-S and stock wheels? What size spacers should I get? View attachment 17609

Hi. That looks awesome!

New owner, loving the comfort. How much has your ride changed?

Thanks

Hey! Looks great.
I am trying to figure out how mine is raised higher on the front end than the rear.
Did you have this issue at all? See pic.

ARK contacted me to let me know they had an opening a day early for install. As promised here are pics of the car on the new set of springs. As mentioned earlier, these are gold and are confirmed to be slotting in with their GT-S line. Their GT-S line is a lot more aggressive than their orange GT-F line, which I suspect I had on before these although it was never confirmed.

The springs I had on before measured 27.5" from the ground, through the wheel centercap, to the apex of the wheelwell arch. These new springs measure 26.75" using the same reference points. Unfortunately, I did not measure what the stock height was so I do not know how much lower the car actually is.

According to the guys at ARK, the first springs only lowered the car 0.75" while these lowered it 1.3"-1.5". Again, I could not verify this because I did not take before measurements when it was stock. Maybe somebody who is stock can measure using my same reference points and let us know how much of a drop it really is.

Overall, I am extremely happy this time around with the drop, as the wheels are visually flush with the fender. There was no rubbing whatsoever from any corners, even at full lock. The ride is surprisingly even more comfortable than it was with the other springs. These are not stiff in the least bit and I am definitely not riding on the bump-stops.

They look great! I want that exact drop. however I went to their website and it says it only drops the car 1.25 all around. Is that the same one you got ? I have the same car you have 3.8 2015 genesis sedan

I have the same problem did u fix it

I use these:

I'm having the same issue with the Storm lowering springs sitting higher in the front then the rear. Trying to find a resolution for it but haven't heard back.

This is stock

and this is after the front were installed

Rear done and driven home front just sits up to high

In my opinion the ride would suffer from cutting or dropping the car. Yes it would look coool but in that case get some good bags. Just my opinion.

No…have you fixed yours? Wondering if the springs are mixed. (Front in back and back in front)
