I purchased my 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD Feb 2015.
I'm having and dealing with lots of problems with my car since Feb. 2015. Its new and 1st owner of this vehicle. I'm working on this Lemon case and I would like to let you guys know my process. So you guys can prepare if you having same problem like me.
1. Steering wheel made vibration.
When i purchased my vehicle and it happened right away. I went to Hyundai dealership for get a service of this problem (1 attempt). They said there was no problem with my vehicle (seriously?) After that, I went to another Hyundai for same problem and they found it and adjusted my tire balance and alignment (2 attempt). BUT! had same problem after their adjustment So I went to another dealership. (3 attempts) and finally they found that the problem was came from all the tires So I've got replacement of my all the tires. However, SAME! Hyundai finally realized the tire problem so they RECALL it for change the new tire (4 attempt).
2. Brake problem.
When I tried to push my brake paddle, It was making some strange sound and vibration every single time. I went to Hyundai dealership for this issue and they couldn't find the problem at the first time! (seriously?) (1 attempt). I went to Hyundai again for this same issue and they finally found that the noise and vibration came from Brake booster on my vehicle. They ordered the part from S.Korea and installed it.(2 attempt). After that, instantly my brake paddle made noise and vibration again and even the paddle moving freely! So I went to Hyundai again and they found that the brake paddle was freely moving and need adjustment of paddle. So they adjusted my brake paddle. (3 attempt). After a month later, It did make same problem and I went to Hyundai again (4 attempt). They are now investigating the issues.
3. Knocking sound from Engine room.
I can hear the engine knocking sound Especially between 24-30 mph speed rage and when the engine cool down (Every single morning!). I went to Hyundai for this issue and they found that the problem came from dashboard and they adjusted the plastic dashboard. (1 attempt). After that, It was NOT FIXED and I went to Hyundai again and they found that the sound came from cowl cover. So they adjusted the cowl cover. (2 attempt). HOWEVER, It's not fixed!!! So I went to Hyundai again and they are now investigating the problem of this issue. (3 attempt)
After that, I made a case to Hyundai customer service for report Lemon before contact attorney. I simply trusted Hyundai because its their premium car brand and advertised as it. So I wanted to listen Hyundai first and I totally believed that they will handle this situation and make customer satisfaction. I waited 1 week after applied my case and finally received the answer from the regional office that they can't make any replacement of my vehicle as new and also not going to refund of my full purchase price. The regional customer service employee was terrible and they didn't even try to listen my all the concerns. They didn't even say any sorry to me. Moreover, employee said that he also has a new Genesis but no issue at all and I'm the the only one who made complain about this car. (Yes!!!! I picked the wrong one!!!). Only they can do for me is Keep REPAIR and not gonna buy my car back even replace the vehicle.
Right after this phone call, I made call to Hyundai head office and complained about it. They said, That decision is Hyundai official answer and there is nothing they can do for me.
So I called the attorney for this situation and they reviewed my case and they accepted my case. So we sent the official letter to Hyundai and waiting their answer.
