Fog Light Harness in the 3.8L?

I dont know guys... you guys think I can fit H8/H11 plug into foglight housing plug? I been comparing the 2 in pictures and they look very similar. Anyone think I can just use H8/H11 foglight wiring kit to make this work?

Its been couple days and no one responded?
I went ahead and ordered my led fogs and harness.

What do you guys think? It should work right?

I wish I could tell you more how it was connected to my fog lights, but someone did it for me and I just helped with tools, as far as I know he bought everything in Autozone store, I'll try to squeeze in my iphone and try to take some pics, hopefully will be able to see the connectors. Will get back to you little later with the results.
Did you scrolled back this thread and read what was discussed about the connection to the fog lights?

I think I saw someone telling someone to try to use H11 harness but I dont think it was ever confirm that it fits.

Took some pics as best as I could ,your setup should work ,my is connected directly to the fuse box. So they are on all the time.
The fog lights gives much better visibility and the Genny looks much much better. Here are some pics I was able to shoot with my iphone. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424842381.352105.webpImageUploadedByTapatalk1424842513.403291.webpImageUploadedByTapatalk1424842575.611162.webp

Thank you so much for those pictures! Looks like my route might work!
I thought these LED fogs might draw too much power to tap to a switched fuse but looks like it'll be ok. Do you happen to know which fuse your fogs are tapped into?
Im looking at your pictures in page 13 but all I see is a red wire but cant really tell which fuse its going into.

Following others' recommendation, I aimed my headlights a bit higher and visibility is better now, thanks! Whenever I visit this thread, I keep hoping that someone might have come up with an easy solution for a problem that even many econo boxes do not have any more, missing fog lights! For a 52k car that has "ULTIMATE" package. How does "ultimate" package not include ~$300 parts that majority of customers would want/need. Well, that's hyundai, I guess.

I agree. I believe its a marketing strategy. For first year model, dont include fogs on V6 models. People will buy them anyway. On 2nd year or later down the road... include fogs for slight push in sale. I def think they'll do the same with LED DRL down the road.

You are very welcome. Glad I could help. I don't think that it draws a lot of power, I've been driving with them on all the time for 5 months already. They turn on as soon as I start the car.
They not attached to any fuse. Just getting power from positive screw what's underneath the fuse box and going trough some kind of relay ,as you can see in the pics. I love them, I can see better and the system what keeps you in line works better too, as the lines are now much more brighter , I know because the route I am taking to get home, before installation the system wasn't active for half a mile because the street lines is very old and not such bright.
I installed the fog lights after 3 weeks I drove the car. Right after installation the system was working the same spot , and since then always is.
And the fog lights are cheaper now. 6 months ago they were $100 more expensive.
I wanted to install a stalk with fog light switch ,but looks like it's not that easy.
Will hope that someday something comes up in aftermarket stores.
If you need anything more , let me know if I can help.
Best of luck to you!!
Happy Hyundaing:))

Oh! I didnt know that silver screw with + on top supplied power. Thank you again. I was afraid to tap into a fuse thinking it might draw too much power from that fuse terminal and might overheat. That silver screw thing will work perfectly!

It works with no problems [emoji106]

I had my Hyundai GM chat with their R&D and they said that no changes will be made to headlights, etc. on the 2015. They are aware that people are not happy with the current configuration and there is serious discussion about changing the 2016s, not that it helps current owners.

It would be appreciated if someone finds new reputable sources for the fogs to post a link here. The cheapest I have seen so far is about $350 on eBay shipped from Korea, hopefully they can reduce even more in price from there.

So how exactly are people hooking up the OEM fogs? I'd love to install them myself but I'm a little confused.

Some have tried to install stalk from 5.0 on 3.8 to make it work. Not sure if anyone has been successful. I'm not going this route b/c it'll be much more expensive.
I'll be wiring my fogs with universal fog light wiring kit. Tapping power from fuse box with on/off switch on dash inside cabine(cabin fuse box cover). Also I'll be using H8/H11 plugs which I believe will fit into fog housing connecting to fog light wiring kit.
For my parts check page 14.
I'll update this thread when I can confirm they all work together.

So I guess there is absolutely no plug and play option. What a bummer.

Headlamp assembly wiring schematic?

My dealer has told me that he would get me the wiring schematic diagram for the headlights on my new V6 AWD Ultimate. I hope he comes through, because I want to use the existing LED eyelash lights as my DRLs. Hopefully just switching the connection between the DRL bulb and the LEDs will reverse their functions, time will tell. I am already planning on replacing those goofy yellow bulbs with white, I have no idea why they went yellow with those. If anyone has the wiring diagram now it would be appreciated if you could post it here.

I am also planning on installing the V8 fog lights. While it would be nice to get fancy and replace the lights stalk on the steering column with one that will control the fogs, I think it would be fine to just have them always on so that they also function as DRLs as well as saving probably $400+ in parts. I've also read in here that having the fogs on helps the automated lane assistance function better, so that is a free bonus in my book.

Please scroll back this thread, there are various options explained and pictures with installed lights also wiring diagrams posted earlier

Double-check the head-light alignment. Most Genesis seem to come from the factory with the headlights aimed way to low. Raising the aiming point a bit can help a lot.

How do you manually raise/lower the headlight level? I checked my manual and it just talks about the automatic headlight leveling device.

I have read the entire thread, but I think I want to leave the fog lights on whenever the car is running, so why get fancy? I plan to just connect them directly to switched power at the fuse box and be "always on".
