If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Fog Light Harness in the 3.8L?

Don't the headlights have "auto-leveling"?
Shouldn't have to worry about aiming

I believe auto leveling means when you add weight to the rear of the car, for example 2 people in the seat or things in the trunk... rear of the car sags down which results in your headlights aiming higher. Our headlights automatically aims low beams down to prevent blinding on coming traffic.

I hope someone can make a simple DIY installation and wiring of the fog lights?? :)

Roikins: I have been trying to PM you, but it keeps telling me my message is spam??

I saw your pic...

Are those headlights the stock bulbs or did you change them??

If you did what did you change?? They look super nice!!

thanks

PM does work. I went thru samething recently trying to buy OEM fogs from a member.
I dont think he changed anything. His headlights and fog lights are over exposed in that picture making them look brighter.
And yeah... they do look really nice like that.

Does anyone know if the H8/11 connectors fit the foglights for certain?

I should be receiving my fogs sometime next week. I already have wiring kit and H8/H11 connectors. I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

Sorry , your PM went trough , actually all of them :) I just didn't know that PM was sent , because I use Iphone and Taptalk and they send a notification that PM was sent, almost a week after , it's came in email the notification like 5 days after you sent PM, and already responded you :)
That's correct its original factory lighting, just overexposed in dark.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Thanks :) how are you going to set them up?
Same way as we spoke? Direct feeding to the power ?
I still looking for ways to change it, just recently don't have much time for research, but I hope and guess that it's been almost a year since the new Genesis came out, and there should be more and more some aftermarket lighting setups.
I have Instagram following a company in NY area they do custom lighting , very cool stuff. You can change the color with your iphone or Android app, the name is Phenomenal Vinyl , they located in Oceanside , NY. Check they work, really awesome.
I just wish I live closer to NY area :) Or maybe when spring comes and the crazy storms be over I take a road trip , yehaaa, good idea!!! I love road trips and especially with Genny , would be awesome:)

Re: Headlamp assembly wiring schematic?

I have read the entire thread, but I think I want to leave the fog lights on whenever the car is running, so why get fancy? I plan to just connect them directly to switched power at the fuse box and be "always on".

That's exactly how I did. Less work and less things to worry about :)

It's is true that when the fog lights are on the auto line correction system works better and pick up a lines in places where it didn't before without fog lights , also it's much better visibility in night with fog lights.

Apologize for mistake.
These guys make fantastic job for all kind of lights HID, LED's Halos.
The most feature I like that you can change the color of the lights with smartphone :)

Yes. Directly to power with on/off switch in cabin probably on fuse cover.
So that big silver screw you have power connected to... it turns on and off with with your engine?

I've seen this before. That price is ridiculous. What you get is OEM fog lights with a universal fog lights wiring kit customized to fit the back of fogs. I got my wires for $35.

So you already got the OEM fogs installed? How hard is it to install? Is it just plug and play, not mods needed?

I didnt get them installed yet. My fogs are shipped and should be here next week.

OK. So got my fogs installed and they look beautiful!
All the parts I ordered worked with few tweeks.
H8/h11 connectors do work on our foglights but I had to plug them in in reverse/upside down to get the right polarity to my fogs. This means that those latches on the connectors were useless so I crazy glued the connects to the fogs. I'll have to be careful if I have to take the bumper cover off.
I powered my fogs from + terminal from fuse box and ran on/off switch to cabin. The switch is right next to electronic parking brake switch. My fogs do not turn off when the car turns off. Turns out that + terminal inside fuse box is hot all the time. Overall I'm very pleased with the result. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.
