  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Forum members, your opinions on this 2016 genesis r-spec rendering?

Awesome !!!

That looks bad a$$, but i probably wouldn't buy it. I like the very understated look of the old rspec. This reminds me more of the boldness of an AMG and I'm not that kind of buyer.

It's basically a quick photoshop job from a blogging outfit - direct lift from the BMW M3/4 front, overly lowered and blacked out. I do not see the Genesis moving in this overt direction - a potential performance version would be more subtle to match the cars slot in their line up.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Rendering looks like what an after market tuner would do. I prefer more oem understated performance looks.

We are on a 3 day road trip and we are getting a lot of people's attention. :D

if they had this when we bought our 15 5.0...and it had around 550 hp...i'd have bought it over the standard 5.0 in a heartbeat.

22" are a bit much- love the staggered wheels but the extremely thin sidewalls make for a punishing every day driver.

If the seats are Recaro-esk and a little engine tuning, supercharger- at a $5K bump- then I'm in.

What kind of attention?

I live in the Tampa Bay area and haven't seen or heard any buzz about the Genesis.

All I hear from my neighbors is "Where's your Corvette?"

That's OK. My first tank of gas with just "around town" driving I got 18MPG and the car is quiet, comfortable and fast with great tech throughout.

You seem to have a way of engagement here that can come across as......aggressive?

Looks flashy, but not really my cup of tea.

So you're comparing the attention you got with your Corvette, a sleek, pure sports car to the Genesis? Besides being rear-wheel drive and V8 and both having steering wheels, what do these cars have in common?

Sorry, too direct for you?

Its just a car. I have the sense you are very invested, personally, in what you are driving. Never good to have too much of your self invested in what you drive.

If you don't think the Genesis is special and deserving of notice why did you buy it?

Corvettes in the Tampa Bay area are a lot more common than the Genesis. Most people don't give them a lot of attention, except for the new C7.

People asking what kind of car it is. Seemed like every time we turned around there was someone in the parking lot checking out the car. They all seemed to gravitate to the grille. I must say, I like it too :D

The "pic" in the OP of this thread is nothing more than a Photoshop exercise done by someone with no connection to Hyundai Motor Corp, so this thread should be probably be shut down.

The list of logical fallacies you just committed in that statement are numerous:

Nice try, but I have been around too long to play that game. And in all that b.s., you've still yet to explain why a Genesis and a Corvette should be directly compared.
