  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

I think Piazza Hyundai of Pottstown is soon going to be a Genesis Dealer, at least that what Nina (Sales) says. Expecting 2019 Genesis cars any day.

No signs that PA has any dealers approved. Can change very quickly but highly doubtful that it will be own a matter of days.

We have our first 2 California dealers!!!! They have their dealer codes anyway...

  • Genesis of Palm Springs (two 2.0T in stock)
  • Genesis of La Quinta
Now that the legal issues are apparently resolved...dealers should be flying on board...hopefully.

You'd think Tustin would've been one of the first given how close it is to HQ. Hopefully they LA/OC dealers get on board quickly

Any updates on when stock will be available in Ohio? Really appreciate the way you've kept all of us informed (Genesis should hire you for their communications team).

Cleveland started showing inventory the other day. They currently have 9 2019s listed Genesis' web site. Mentor received their dealer code last week so hopefully will be getting some soon.

just came across this in G70 Facebook page... looks like a new dealer in Phoenix doing pretty big mark ups

That is outrageous. I definitely hope no one buys from them. It is a nice car, but that is ridiculous. And if they are doing that on the front end, would hate to have them as the local dealer.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

I don't know the history of premiums on cars but is this is just another sign that some of the Genesis dealers do not understand that they are supposed to be marketing, servicing and acting like a luxury brand? Perhaps BMW, Audi, Lexus, etc. sometimes mark-up their cars but it just does not seem like something you would expect from the level that Genesis is striving to be.

Agreed. There seem to be so many things wrong here. First, part of the point is to be lower on cost to the other brands and make a huge splash. Second, a premium (above market) price sends a message to your custoner base--but not a good one. Third, it is incredibly tacky. Handwritten and scribbled orice increases can't be what Genesis has in mind.
Feel for anyone buying from that dealer or stuck with them as a local option.

Market and supply can determine price. And with fewer dealers and the rollout progressing fairly slowly, in some places demand may be greater rhan supply. But just because you can doesn't mean you should. Good way to alienate a customer base.

I've walked out of showrooms when I saw things like that. I'm not interested even at sticker, let alone way above.

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should....I really wish sales guys understood this. My sales guy didn’t. He made such a horrible greedy anology to water/natural disasters as a way to justify markups that I can’t even repeat it here. But it goes to show that a lot of these dealers see people as nothing but things to make money off of if you can get them to really speak what’s on their mind

I didn't buy a Infiniti Q50 cause the Sales Manager mocked Kia.

Thanks, your updates definitely have helped a lot of us. It doesn't look like they're showing on cars.com when I searched, guess that's why I wasn't seeing them. I'll use the Genesis site from now on.

Your welcome, glad they do. While many do, not all dealers are putting their inventory on third-party sites. Unfortunately Genesis' inventory search is not as robust as it should be but if you are only looking in a specific area it should be fine. Good luck.

I purchased my G70 at San Tan the day after the first ones dropped in the Phoenix area. I bought the G70 Sport Turbo V-6 fully loaded with every available package. The only thing I didn't get was AWD. I paid 51k off the lot. Definitely don't shop Chapman.

My local dealer (Ken Garff Gensis - Sandy, Utah) just called two days ago to inform me they will be getting their first G70's in Mid to End of March. This was after our prior discussion just after Christmas where they expected that beginning of February. I would assume they don't get any until April at this point.
