For the examples the engineer examined, the Genesis had tighter/better body gaps and panel alignment.
 
In most (not all) cases it is the cable. Especially with Samsung phones. They seem to be really particular about the quality of the cable used.
I would say it's particular to the vehicle, not the phone. My Samsung phone works in all other vehicles with pretty much any cable, but it won't work in the GV70 with those same cables - only 2 of the 10 or so I've tried work consistently.

This is a really good vid. Solid, concise and SPECIFIC analysis.
 
Maybe it's buried somewhere in the video, but I bet the GV70 used in this comparison wasn't a Sport model. I have a 3.5 Sport, and it's a gas to drive, especially in Sport drive mode. I haven't driven the Accura, but my GV70 feels tight, precise, and focused, the way he described the RDX. I traded in my GV80 Prestige 3.5, which always felt a little fat and wallow-y, no matter what Drive mode. Fine vehicle, but I found didn't need or particularly like the size and bulk of the GV80. The two models are startlingly different cars from a driving perspective.
 
^ Also to truly appreciate the GV70 Sport, one has to drive near its limits which most don't do (esp on public roads).

At the limits, one can feel the difference btwn a RWD-based model w/ better weight balance and a nose heavy FWD model that has to use added tech to mitigate the laws of physics.
 
Mixed bag review - interesting to note that not one of the pictures in that article matched the model they were reviewing. ;) They just got lazy and used stock photos.
 

Made the latest C/D 10Best Truck/SUV list along w/ the Telluride, EV6 and Ioniq 5.

The addition of the Electrified should be enough to keep it on the list for next year.

Since when is an ICE power train and "ify bit?" I would submit the "ify bit" is more the new electric power train. Let's talk the entire lifecycle of the battery. Also, I still have my pink slip on the table. I will "race" any electric car from Philly to Pittsburgh. No takers so far...

Sounds like a blanket statement. Since some of them have been pretty bad over the years.
How about the Caddy V-8-6-4 or the Olds diesel?
 
I still remember the commercials for the 8-6-4 V-8 and the Diesel made from a gasoline engine. Who ever thought that using a gasoline block and internals for a diesel engine was not a great idea? Another case where the engineer's were not invited to the meeting full of marketing and accounting people. I think the "ify bit" comment is a simple slam on ICE engines in general. Fine for the tiny little UK, but the US and Canada do not yet have a viable infrastructure for electric cars. Canada due to its climate may never be suitable for wide-spread electric vehicle use. There are alternatives to pure electric, but politics is pushing a one-size fits all single solution. Follow the money...
 
I'm glad to see some push back to all electric cars recently by car makers in Europe. Expect to see some push back this side of the pond. Hybrids using hydrogen or fossil fuels will probably win the day.

I live 270 miles from the nearest Genesis dealer. I will never buy an electric car.

You can’t get the 3.5 in the UK, so I assume the writer is talking about the comparison between driving the 2.5 or diesel variants versus all of the instant torque available in the EV.
 
It would seem EV's continue to default to a fast 0 - 60 (or 0 to 100km). I am pretty sure that is not the principal metric people use when buying a car. If it was, I would own a Mustang GT or a Challenger SRT. I am pretty sure my wife is even less interested than that metric. To me, electric cars feel sterile, but that is changing, I believe.

Moving away from fossil fuels is a great goal, but it should not be forced. We need innovation to move us away from it naturally. Do the geniuses pushing this nonsense realize that:

Petroleum is needed to make plastic.
Petroleum is needed to make tires.
Petroleum is needed to make batteries and wiring.
Petroleum is needed to lubricate machinery. Crisco just will not cut it.
Petroleum is needed to make roads.
 
The geniuses don't care about you and me. They have a personal agenda that only they will profit from while our standard of living will suffer.

What they are doing is inflationary. They are causing shotages. Petroleum is also need to produce fertilizer that is needed to produce food. Petroleum is needed to power the machinery that grows the food. Petroleum is needed to power the trucks to get the food to our stores. Most importantly petroleum is needed to run our massive military machine. You will never win a war with electric powered planes, ships or tanks.

Our leaders need to wake up to the fact that we need multiple cheap energy sources and not limit the ability of american petroleum companies to produce as much petroleum as possible to limit our dependency on foreign oil. Once multiple energy sources are perfected like hydrogen that can cleanly power large equipment and our military we can start phasing out petroleum.
