  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Owners: What vehicle did your Genesis replace?

2007 Subaru WRX STI. It was fun being connected to the road, but I'm loving the peace and quiet even more!

I come from a 2003 WRX, loved that car but wanted something quieter and more peaceful.

I had my 2008 Pontiac G8 V6 bought back under the lemon law. Found out about the Genesis R Spec by chance and was impressed from the start. Further research caused me to buy one.

traded 2011 bmw 328i with sport pkg for 2012 3.8. I got tired of getting to the destination worn out from feeling all the bumps and cracks in California's wonderful highways. The Genny rides so much nicer by comparison and I am glad to arrive at destination without being thrashed by lousy roads.

2012 3.8 with tech & premium

Parted ways with a built 2004 Subaru WRX. Thing was a blast and never let me down. Now I have stepped into Luxury with Tech and Premium packages on my 2012 V6 and something my family can feel comfortable in!! Unreal what Hyundai has done!!

2011 Genesis 4.6 bought new replaced a 2009 Buick Enclave with less than 14,000 miles on it. Had taken the Enclave in for service and saw the Genesis. Sat in it, drove it and bought it. What a difference!

traded 2005 chrysler 300c with 22,700 miles on it.

2003 Infiniti G35 Sport - At 41 this was the perfect vehicle for me, at 51 I believe the Genesis is the perfect vehicle for me. :)

Traded an 10' Acura TL SH-AWD 5AT -- 6MT is still around though ;)

Hmm... I kinda like that grill! You, Sir... just made me not hate current Acuras!

Congrats on the Genny though. :)

Replaced a 2002 VW Passat GLX 4Motion. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Will NEVER own a German car again, mark my words. I may LEASE one, but never again do I want to own one... especially outside the warranty period.

My Grandma had the same car, same year but FWD, and it seriously never was driven because it was always in the shop for something, so at 32,000 miles she said goodbye to VW and hello to Lexus IS250 AWD.

I leased my 2009 Genesis V8 Tau in August 2009, which replaced my 2003Mercedes C320 that I purchased in Sept. 2002. Went with a lease, as the Genesis was new to the market - my first ever lease. Had narrowed down the research to the Infinity G37 hard top convertible; the Acura TL, and after much research decided on the Genesis. I've been very happy with the car and it's power. Now planning to buy out the lease soon. Female in her 60's and still loving cars!;)

EXACTLY. And now they seem to be using cheaper and cheaper parts... no thanks. Also... I didn't drive no gramamma's car!

Sorry not what I meant!:D
I know... I couldn't resist LOL.

No offense to any gramammas on this forum intended, by the way ;)

came out of an XJ8, never had problems with it. However I've been watching the Genesis roll out for a few years. After owning several HUY brands I decided to jump in on the Genesis.
