They researched the recall and said no problem they could do the swap to any tire I wanted and I would only have to pay the difference on the tire price if I went with a more expensive tire.
But would they still have to lower your top speed to 130? I am trying to avoid going to the dealer for this reason. We know that we have more up to date information then the dealer and service personnel so, if the tire swap is done at the dealer whats the chances that the computer wont be messed with?
LolI don't know how they expect me to get to work on time if they lower my top speed to 130mph.
Texas roads were made to speed.... On my motorcycle I have gotten up to 160 racing a Porsche.....it's nice to know that I can reach above 130 if I choose to..... I guess 130 seems like "light speed" for you older and slower folks.I don't know how they expect me to get to work on time if they lower my top speed to 130mph.

Check this out at 186mph, The Audi RS6 flies by probably doing 200+. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrpqfTUIuPE
"Blast" is not exactly the right word, but you are close.Wouldn't it be a blast to take our v8 genny up to 180 on the autobahn
Whaaat!
I bet the the motorcycle guy was freaked out someone actually passed him. Wouldn't it be a blast to take our v8 genny up to 180 on the autobahn
Clearly I'm missing something regarding this recall. I just this minute went to the NHTSA website and put in my VIN to inquire about recalls for my vehicle. The site reported that there were no recalls for my vehicle which is a US 2015 Genesis Ultimate 5.0
https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/
Does anyone know if this is this a full line recall or limited to a certain date/production range?
Sounds like the tire manufacturer is doing the recall, not Hyundai. I assume that Hankook will have to get the owner name and address from Hyundai to send out notices.Clearly I'm missing something regarding this recall. OOPS, after posting I found this:

Still leaves me to wonder about the lack of a response on my specific VIN. Guess it's time to call the dealer - or wait until next month and see if I get a notice in my mailbox!

As I understand it the 5.0 has different tires and are not part of the recall.
