  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Huddleston's Build Thread

Its supposed to take two weeks to repair the car and they wont be able to start for about a week assuming everything goes smoothly with Nationwide.

I have a rally on December 12-13th so we will definitely be cutting it close.

Your car looks great. Tasteful, not over the top, just flat out sweet looking! The wheels are great. Probably the best looking care in the Ozarks!

I appreciate that - thank you. There are a multitude of incredible cars here.

Well, I just got my baby back, all nice and shiny!!

Darn, it's too bad the Kickstarter ended.

they are going to retail for $500 I think, I got in early and picked mine up for $300. Maybe they'll open it up for pre-orders again.

Somebody needs to photoshop a picture of your car with an 8-point rack mounted just above the grill... ;-)

hahaha, Charles (mathwiz) is in vegas on vacation right now. our resident photoshop expert will have some work to do when he returns!

still waiting on Nationwide to get an adjuster to look at the car. its driving me insane with the car looking like this.

side note - the Genesis was feeling left out because the wife got a new car (2010 Porsche Cayenne) and so I felt it was necessary to snap a few quick shots to let her know I still love her.

Hopefully we'll be taking the car to the body shop soon to get everything straightened out.

hallelujah - car goes into the body shop on Monday the 30th. I was told it would be at least two weeks until I get the car back so in the mean time I will be driving this:

That my friend is a rare sight. An Acura Integra that's not riced out! That's actually a very popular car for thieves, unfortunately (as a friend of mine found out a few years back).

In the other new thread you just started, where you list the modifications you've made, I was thinking of kidding you about forgetting to list amongst your mods the recently added "deer dimples"! ;-)

I am seriously considering buying this car - a good friend of mine owns it and I have been tempted. I don't think driving it for two weeks will make it any easier of a decision.

The DC2 Type-R with the B18C5 motor was one of my dream cars back in my early 20's when I was young and dumb and street racing. There aren't that many of them left that haven't been abused. That high revving motor is just begging for somebody to wind them out to their 8400 rpm redline. Or swap into an EG or EK civic and be a total sleeper.

A 1.8 liter motor making 200 hp back in the late nineties was a special thing. Now power like that is a dime a dozen but the DC2 will always be special to me. If I could justify having a toy to the wife I'd buy one for my daughter and mod it as she grows up so when she's of age she can drive it in high school. She's currently two. By then that car will surely be a hall of famer. At least in the import world.

I was never big on them as I was more of a Toyota guy. The cars are great fun to drive and the power is very manageable. I would be purchasing it for an investment as these and many other JDM cars are actually stabilizing and increasing in value. This specific car has low miles and is completely stock and is in great condition - its tough to find one in this condition these days.
