I went to the hardware store this morning and the man behind the counter says "I haven't seen you in years. You must be doing well to afford a Bentley. That thing is sharp looking." I smiled, thanked him and advised him as to what kind of vehicle it is. Suddenly his face changed to , looks out the window again at the car as if he is analyzing it and said "Wow. That is a Genesis."

Just goes to show the average person doesn't really know cars!!! I love the looks of my Genesis - but, beyond the "winged" logo upfront (That many other maker's use variants of too), the Genesis doesn't look like a Bentley to me (first clues are lack of signature round headlights and mesh grill):

Just goes to show the average person doesn't really know cars!!!

But many do know brand logos and the winged emblems are very close and likely help to the misidentification, especially on an unrecognized new model.

Imagine how the Bentley owner would feel if he was asked about his good looking Hyundai

I find the current grille too busy. I have to repair mine and I have ordered an aftermarket insert:

I don't like the flashy chrome so I ordered the grille in powder coated black.

Does that make it look more like an Aston Martin or Bentley?

Kind of off topic but the wings reminded me of this; this morning I saw a 2008 Tuscon where the owner switched the flying H's upfront and the trunk with the Genesis wings LOL

It is made by T-Rex Billet Grilles. I found a retailer, Sleek Auto Accessories that is offering it for a few dollars over the jobber price with free shipping.

They have estimated a Nov 7 ship date. We will see.

That grille would look so much better without the logo affixed to it.

Gosh I actually don't think it looks too bad in chrome But I think it would only work on a black or silver car.

I thought all 2015 Genesis Sedans had that on the stock grill. But then again, in Canada we get them pretty much fully loaded compared to the US.

Have of pic of the OEM grill without the radar unit?

I wish the U.S. version had the V8/AWD. I would have purchased it and that car has got to be fun in the twisties.

AWD is nice to have especially for us here in Canada with the crazy winters. Since the 2015's are relatively new, most people have no idea what the car is capable of or that its even AWD (HTRAC? What's that?).

It was raining pretty steady last week and a guy in a Subaru Legacy GT pulled up besides me at the light. You could see him inching up waiting for the light to go green. Prolly figured that his AWD system would give him the edge. Not really, steadily matched his speed and when he figured he couldn't pass, he slowed down went behind me since his lane was ending. I didn't even gun it much less put it into sport mode. The look of confusion he had in my rear view mirror was worth it.

AWD is nice to have especially for us here in Canada with the crazy winters. Since the 2015's are relatively new, most people have no idea what the car is capable of or that its even AWD (HTRAC? What's that?).

AWD would be nice indeed. I have Bridgestone Blizzaks for the winters where I reside.
Get a vanity plate that reads AWDTAU. Most people will be like WTF does that mean?
